    R7000 & AdvancedTomato: an issue with media server & my smart tv

    Still having this issue - it's *only* related to the media server. With previous routers, any lost connection to the media server included a complete loss of connection to the router. Also noticed that the hd light on the router is no longer on, even though the drive is connected & accessible.

    Sorry @sfx2000 - the ACS is long gone. I did switch it from mixed to BGN before returning it. The wifi performance with a Netgear R7000 running Advanced Tomato is doing great for me.

    Thanks to AT, I have dlna working and my wifi working flawlessly. The only issue I have now is that the tv periodically disconnects from the media server but *not* from the router/internet (I'm using ethernet with the tv). Any settings that could help resolve this?

    Thanks - those are pretty much the settings I have. It's really only the media server - none of our computers lose connection to the usb storage. It's just the tv & the media server. I adjusted some of the media server settings but haven't tested it yet.

    I got it to work after changed the share of the whole storage device to admin/admin and adding shares to two folders. But the overall experience improved greatly after I changed the firmware to AdvancedTomato.
