    IPTV with Asus aimesh help

If you didn't need to use the IPTV settings on the Deco then I doubt you'd need to use them now! I presume you've changed the IP settings on the Sagemcom box to reflect the IP setup of the new router? And would you lose anything by performing a full reset of the Sagemcom box?

    IPTV with Asus aimesh help

You'll probably need to state what country you are in and what the equipment you are using is. Some IPTV systems will need to connect directly to the main router, not a node, and others may need to be reset (wiping access to recording) to switch them out of their IPTV-VLAN mode! *I suspect you...

Trying To Understand the GS - AX5400

In a normal setup, you can easily add 250 devices - but that doesn't mean that number would work well! It's utilization of the bands that is really going to determine how many devices you can use. You can see what this is in the router WebUI> System Log>Wireless Log 25 devices with high...

AX88U PRO will not transmit GUEST WIFI on AiMesh Node

To get things working how I like them I actually rolled back to the most recent Merlin firmware of the time - So I never did fix the issues!

AI mesh crippled by latest AX10000 Pro firmware

Based on my just having a GT-AX6000 and an RP-AX58, can I make a simple observation? On the rare occasions that my router is fully rebooted, my AiMesh node has to be kept powered down until the router has determined that it can use the upper 5GHz channels, otherwise the mesh will invariably...

Diversion Diversion and Breezeline Customer Portal

On: WAN > Internet Connection Turn off DNS over TLS and try using your ISPs default DNS servers. *I'm in the UK on BT Internet and they have a habit of putting services in the IP ranges 10.0.0.0/8 and 172.16.0.0/12. Those services are only accessible in those ranges when using BTs own DNS servers.

    Mesh advice

Just so long as it is the router(s) that's the problem. Older devices don't always have the very best latest codecs, and some sources don't always have the throughput they'd ideally need!

Need help designing & building AIMESH system

While it works fine for me, AiMesh is pretty much Plug and Pray. At least with the setup here, if I use the spare node, I can't guarantee that a node will connect to the router or the other node. Then there is the problem of do you need "BE" capable AiMesh nodes? And I probably have a phobia...

Late to the Squarespace domain cutover, need a new DDNS solution...

The transfer took place at 21:12 (UK BST). It took about 2 minutes to get everything back up, fully working, and fully propagated!

Late to the Squarespace domain cutover, need a new DDNS solution...

he.net and dynv6.com have been my "gotos" for the Google Domains for years (and I would recommend them for their versatility), but something about how SquareSpace have messed things up even prevents these from working. As it stands I can't even get the "CNAME" redirection working on the more...

Late to the Squarespace domain cutover, need a new DDNS solution...

@RMerlin while what you've described should work (for a basic domain at least), some SquareSpace domains migrated from Google Domains still don't work reliably this way - my own included. If you get into more complex use of the domains such as IPv6 and having multiple hosts, it just gets worse...

    2.5Gbe network without 2.5 router?

It'll work just fine. The router will be performing some administration on the network, but the data between the devices is routed directly not via the router. Just read up on the 2.5Gbps switches because there are a few out there that have some problems with specific cards/interfaces (inc the...

INFO: Word of warning about Vodafone UK FTTH/FTTP

My old VF password was just 8 digits long - but it makes sense that the format is not fixed. You have to get the VF password either by email or cut & paste though, as they are notorious for reading it out incorrectly! Oh, and the Vodafone UK support forums are informative and friendly!

Won't update GT-AX6000 to any firmware

Check your warranty! It may be an EU/UK thing, but my GT-AX6000 came with a three-year warranty (double-checked on the Asus website)!

Having two access points vs AiMesh?

Unfortunately, my experience with AiMesh (which I use), is that it does not provide that seamless transition from AP to AP. There is very definitely a break when an AP to AP switch finally occurs. What it does do is limit what's re-transmitted to just what needs re-transmitting, so it's acting...

Having two access points vs AiMesh?

In a normal AiMesh setup, you'll see that one device is set up as a Master, which other devices will connect through - even if they have wired backhaul. You've created an AiMesh system that doesn't have a single "master" device to router through. In this setup, you lose absolutely nothing by...

HELP! Farmer trying to set-up long-range property WiFi

Mine are Reolink Indistinguishable from Eufy), and the solar panel is 6 - 7 years old (averages temps 0c to 25c, and humidity 60%): It's most annoying feature is that the internal antennas appear to be horizontally polarized (WHY????)! Dfinitely NOT a suitable solution for our OP!

HELP! Farmer trying to set-up long-range property WiFi

In the UK, it used to be possible to get solar-powered 433MHz security cameras that could be powered off a solar cell and a rechargeable battery (connecting to a hub). These were motion-triggered - not permanently recording, and the resolution was appalling. These allegedly had just about have...
