    bit funny, but when the update available notification is blinking on the webgui, the AC routers cpu usage is extremely high lol.

    its specific to the 386 firmwares, was fixed previously in 384 in a workaround way.

    its not for me either, and yet i have 3 mobile phones with DHCP leases from my media bridges rather than the main router. when it happens to a notebook or the xbox i get nagged at because the bridge is picked up as the DHCP DNS provider instead of the main router.

    have you tried clicking logout and logging back in with fresh auth tokens, sometimes stale ones can be applied even following a reboot.

    high cpu temp would trigger a throttling event, if this causes the wifi to drop out then there is a timing flaw in the driver.

    True, I get this sometimes too when the http daemon is not fully logged in (some of the session data is stale in the browser) and while i can navigate the settings, some aspects just don't load.

    suggesting a full reset to resolve this is to show full ignorance to how the firmware update procedure actually works, if the device is not updating, the firmware image is not for the hardware it is being applied to or it is failing Cyclic checks, given it matches the hash, this would indicate...

    Network conditions perfect, an ac88u can do about 89MB/s on 5Ghz which is a little over 700Mbit/s on wireless.

    American consumer law disagrees with you, this forum has been in the wrong the entire time just because "Asus" said so, and it should have been brought up and contested long ago rather than rolling over for them.

    The custom icon is accepted and written to storage, but the Base64 file is never loaded by the client list UI, Changing between the included defaults does work for some reason.
