    has worked for me

    Asus Merlin Media-Bridge Mode Bug

This is apparently a regression, was fixed previously in 384 https://www.snbforums.com/threads/rt-ac68p-in-media-bridge-mode-dhcp-dnsmasq-problems.49576/ @RMerlin You reintroduced this issue in https://github.com/RMerl/asuswrt-merlin.ng/commit/78facc663a8d04ac101a0d60240c0530c94cc127 Last...

    Asus Merlin Media-Bridge Mode Bug

This is a thing even on 386.11, disable the DHCP server from http://<mediabridgeip>/Advanced_DHCP_Content.asp

    MerlinWRT 386.4 DHCP problems

If coming from non-merlin firmware without a reset and you have multiple devices with some in a media bridge config, the media bridge will have its DHCP server turned on leading to some devices using the media bridge as the dns providing device even if they aren't connected through it...

    [ 386.12 alpha Build(s) ] Testing available build(s)

I suspect the client icon and factory reset issues have the same origin, and i wouldn't doubt it to be caused by the fix "nvram usage reported on Sysinfo page was inaccurate as it included JFFS stored values"

Slow speed of 1 device (PS5)

disable universal beamforming and airtime fairness.

Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 3004.388.4 beta is now available

if 386.12 alpha is anything to go by, clearing jff or factory resetting might break the web gui.

No Internet Traffic Data in System Status

Ah, its just not working in bridge configuration, while it does with the 86u. Has nothing to do with JFFS, the traffic stats are held in Memory unless configured otherwise.

No Internet Traffic Data in System Status

This has nothing to do with it. The traffic meters are broken for some reason following factory reset.

    [ 386.12 alpha Build(s) ] Testing available build(s)

TBH, i don't think the icons worked in 3.0.0.4.386.51665 either, despite the jfs icon folder having items for my 88u and 86u, the 68u was loading generic icons instead of the official product icons. custom icons are broken on ac86u with the alpha too.

    [ 386.12 alpha Build(s) ] Testing available build(s)

ah, so it does. I wish i had seen your comment about the custom client icons before i went down the rabbit hole of trying to reset the JFS, it got me in this mess in the first place.

^ this, the daemons never come up. Has something to do with a failed JFFS format from what i can tell, as you can trigger the same issue by clearing that, Had to dig up a merlin 378 file to restore my ac68u, the 90+MB files whether official or merlin would fail.

    Asus RT-AC88U AC3100 Bricked/Failed Firmware update

You are both ignorant and have no idea how an API works, both of you butt out of any further discussions.

    Asus RT-AC88U AC3100 Bricked/Failed Firmware update

The app isn't doing anything but serving as an interface for the routers own internal capabilities, no different to Telnet or the WebGUI. Your only recourse would be directly rewriting the flash chip with a jtag. https://www.snbforums.com/threads/asus-routers-jtag-recovery.19077/

    Asus RT-AC88U AC3100 Bricked/Failed Firmware update

Kindly stop giving bad information, the Asus Router app simply invokes the routers internal update mechanism. His cited reason is bs. Since asus like most vendors are being dumb and using XOR NAND instead of something like XtraRom, sitting in a box for years without a powerup results in...

Anyone had any problems with Dns over TLS and Login.Live / Epic Games logins lately?

Looks like its fixed now, after the umpteenth time rebooting the router and flushing DNS caches.

Anyone had any problems with Dns over TLS and Login.Live / Epic Games logins lately?

It looks like 1.1.1.1 is completely failing as both DNS and DOT, 1.0.0.1 works, 1.1.1.1 won't even pass the DHCP check.

Anyone had any problems with Dns over TLS and Login.Live / Epic Games logins lately?

haven't tried anything other than the preincluded list, the issue manifests with both cloudflare and google's DoT, might be a flaw in the ac88u's implementation, since it firmware hasn't been updated in a year at this point.
