    GT-AX6000 Firmware 3.0.0.6_102_34797

Currently only available using the firmware upgrade button in the router from what I can tell. Firmware version 3.0.0.6_102_34797-g974b24d_404-ge7bfb - Release Note - Bug Fixes and Enhancements: 1. Optimized memory management mechanisms, improving system efficiency and stability. 2...

Least expensive wired-only gigabit router? (TP-Link Festa FR205? Others?)

Got the cash? I got the connections to get it done.

Least expensive wired-only gigabit router? (TP-Link Festa FR205? Others?)

Yeah, no, that thing is like $90 here. It's got the old MTK dual core MIPS SoC, so no wonder it's being sold at a cheap price, as it has cheap hardware in it. Not saying that was bad router chip, but it's what, 6-7 years old now?

Least expensive wired-only gigabit router? (TP-Link Festa FR205? Others?)

It meets the OP's requirements though.

Least expensive wired-only gigabit router? (TP-Link Festa FR205? Others?)

Most likely the Brume 2 from GL.inet https://www.gl-inet.com/products/gl-mt2500/ They have a couple of cheaper ones, but the hardware is a bit meh.

    4x4 2,4 Ghz increase coverage?

Range depends a lot more on antenna design and how good the signal is, but you might be able to cover some dead spots with a 4x4 router that a 2x2 router can't catch. Other factors are things like the power amplifiers used, even though you're a lot more limited in Europe than the US...

    Wifi 7 pointless

Did you try testing with iPerf3 to see what the performance is between your laptop and the network and not the internet?

    What's a good NON-Asus router to replace a GT-AX6000?

Well, I've had three of them, the RT-AX68U, the RT-AX86U Pro (as I had to have a router ASAP when the RT-AX68U was having issues) and now a GT-AX6000 and none of them have had issues with either radio. As WiFi transmitters are analog parts, they're not all identical and you'll find that two...

    What's a good NON-Asus router to replace a GT-AX6000?

No, Asus isn't unwilling to deal with it, they're offering you to RMA your faulty unit. I have the same router, I have zero issues and both bands cover our 92 square meter flat just fine. If this was a wide-spread problem, there would be a recall or something similar. Question, did you power up...

    What's a good NON-Asus router to replace a GT-AX6000?

Why would that be the opposite direction? Singapore is more or less a xinese vassal state at this point in time. It's a dictatorship in all but name, having had a single party ruling the nation since its founding and all other alternatives are being shut down in various ways. Any complaints...

    WAVLINK Intel be200

Sorry, what? It works just fine on Windows. Much of it is Microsoft propaganda in favour of ntttcp. Also, it comes down to what you use it for. As a simple throughput test, it works as intended.

    WAVLINK Intel be200

How are you testing? Hopefully you have a second computer, if so, install iperf3 on both of them for testing. https://iperf.fr/iperf-download.php

    What's a good NON-Asus router to replace a GT-AX6000?

The market it stupid and uneducated. This is why we have so many botnets.

    What's a good NON-Asus router to replace a GT-AX6000?

Yeah, no, I'm not even talking about any kind of paranoid crap like that, see above for my reasoning not to buy their products. Again, I used to work for a router manufacturer and we ended having to move some production from Taiwan to xina due to lack of suitable manufacturing (actually...

    What's a good NON-Asus router to replace a GT-AX6000?

Some models have at least eight different revisions and some get barely more than an update, before they're no longer supported. No other router maker out there behaves likes this. You mean like US companies move their HQ to the Bahamas for tax reasons? And you feel that is a good thing? How...

    I don't know, I'm still on Windows 10.

    WAVLINK Intel be200

And you've installed the 24H2 update? As well as installed the latest drivers from Intel? https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/products/sku/230078/intel-wifi-7-be200/downloads.html

    What's a good NON-Asus router to replace a GT-AX6000?

Well, they have the TUF-AX6000, also MTK based. Similar features to the GT-AX6000 and the GL-MT6000, although the GL.inet one uses eMMC for the OS rather than NAND flash, so Asus loses out there. https://www.asus.com/networking-iot-servers/wifi-routers/asus-gaming-routers/tuf-gaming-ax6000/ You...

    What's a good NON-Asus router to replace a GT-AX6000?

I would not recommend anything TP-Link, they are a terrible company that releases multiple hardware revision of the same piece of kit, just so they don't have to support the previously released revisions. Some products get 2-3 firmware updates and are then dropped as a hot potato in favour of...

Opinions on Acer Predator Connect T7 as a WiFi 7 router?

I would steer clear of Acer routers, the reviews of their WiFi 6 products are not great and the consumer feedback I've seen is not great either. The fact that Acer doesn't even have a firmware download page for their routers is a huge red light for me. On top of that, different Acer sites seems...
