Technicolor DGA 0122 router as EasyMesh node

Run a cable, plug in old router, configure it as Access Point, done. Not all routers can operate in AP mode though. It's highly unlikely that the Technicolor has support for some random non Technicolor product in mesh mode. Some routers can be set up in repeater mode and/or media bridge/wireless...

A little advice appreciated on my upgrade path/choice.

Keep in mind that the higher 5 GHz bands have poorer penetration ability than the lower bands, but as I presume you already know that neither band is great. However, if your current hardware is doing the job, there's no reason why the XT12's should work any worse. You won't see a huge...

2.5 port on gt-axe11000 is subpar.

Well, sorry for trying to help then. Also, it's not a hypothesis, it's a real world, proven issue with a lot of 2.5 Gbps Ethernet controllers.

2.5 port on gt-axe11000 is subpar.

Humor me, run the test in reverse, -r. What Ethernet chips are in the devices you're testing with? A lot of first gen 2.5 Gbps has bugs, especially Intel hardware, so it might not be the router at all. I ran into this issue testing both Intel and Realtek hardware against the Aquantia card...

2.5 port on gt-axe11000 is subpar.

Try -w 4M or -P 2 or 4 to see if that makes a difference in iPerf. Also, you posted in the wrong subforum, as this doesn't appear to be an issue related to Asuswrt-Merlin.

Looking for a 10Gbps wired router

Sure, but I believe I provided the OP with a solution for what the OP was looking for. You posting about your experience with something else is fine, but start your own topic.

Looking for a 10Gbps wired router

Loads of people don't want "functional", they want properly working hardware with warranty. And you forgot about RAM, a case, PSU, drives... What is fantastic value for you, might not be fantastic value for someone else. On top of all that, you also have to be knowledgeable enough to install...

Looking for a 10Gbps wired router

That's not how that scales though and you should know this. Plenty of 650-750 MHz SoCs can easily do Gigabit routing, as the MIPS architecture is better than ARM when it comes to routing, for some reason. On top of that, any decent router SoC has, just like all other Arm based SoCs, dedicated...

Looking for a 10Gbps wired router

That motherboard alone, would cost US$850 where I live, so $500 is a pipe dream for anyone that can't get the board "cheap".

Looking for a 10Gbps wired router

That also uses 200 W of power, if not more, whereas an Arm based router is sub 50 W and more like 20 W or less. It's also not 10 Gbps, which the OP requested. But good for you.

Looking for a 10Gbps wired router

Well, at least it's not a DIY piece of kit and it comes with support. These guys did a "review" a year and a half ago.

Looking for a 10Gbps wired router

How about https://www.qnap.com/en/product/qhora-322 The older one is cheaper, but has WiFI. https://www.qnap.com/en/product/qhora-301w/specs/hardware

GT-AX6000 Unstable after change to Fiber ISP

Sorry, but why would a higher quality cable be an issue? The grading for Ethernet is simply about the signal quality, which in turns tells you what the maximum speed is that they're capable of. You could use Cat 6A with 10 Mbps Ethernet if you wanted to.

    Slow be98 speed

Yeah, those are not reliable ways of testing. May I suggest iPerf3? See this thread for more details. https://www.snbforums.com/threads/gigabit-tx-rx-rates-yet-slow-transfer-speeds-over-wifi.88806/page-3#post-892383

    Slow be98 speed

No, I didn't ask about your hardware. I asked how you're doing the testing. As in, how do you get these outputs.

    Slow be98 speed

    How are you testing this?

    Flint 2 (GL-MT6000) vs ASUS RT-AX88U PRO AX6000

    They're made in Vietnam.

    Flint 2 (GL-MT6000) vs ASUS RT-AX88U PRO AX6000

And you'd be dead wrong with regards to the Asus routers, as the pro models are the ones getting more features and better support from Asus.

    Flint 2 (GL-MT6000) vs ASUS RT-AX88U PRO AX6000

Hardware wise, the Flint 2 is very similar to the Asus TUF-AX6000.
