    Asus RT-AX88U doesn't create Wi-Fi 6 network

That yellow is hard to read on my screen, but I did see you were running Merlin. I didn't know if that rendering was exclusive to Merlin or if I was just missing it in the stock UI.

    Asus RT-AX88U doesn't create Wi-Fi 6 network

@aex.perez are those pics from Merlin? I don't see that output in my stock firmware.

Please help me diagnose knotty routing problem

Does using only the server's hostname work? It feels like a loopback problem. I've hit this with my local Emby server where I could get the server was auto-detected but I couldn't actually use it from a guest wireless connection. Does your server have any logging that gives a hint?

Disable Intranet access for a LAN port (not the WiFi Guest network)?

Right. Just want to learn about this method.

Disable Intranet access for a LAN port (not the WiFi Guest network)?

@eibgrad thank you for sharing those details. After doing a shell configuration of the FW, would any of it show in the GUI in the appropriate places?

So Long, Thanks For All The Help

Thanks for boiling this down! The product matrix and eco system is super-confusing to me. And it sounds like the store/website is not helpful in figuring it out.

So Long, Thanks For All The Help

Doesn't UniFi require a cloud account even to get into your hardware? tgl might touched on my next concern about being able to manage from their cloud, which he indicates is an option, so I could manage totally inside my walls?

    AiMesh Icons for GT-AX11000

I don't know the cause, but have you tried manually assigning an icon to those devices?

BGW320-505 has two IP addresses for GUI web interface

I can access the web interface for the BGW320-505 with 192.168.1.254 (255.255.255.0) or 192.168.254.254. I'm guessing the ..254.254 address is used for a fallback in case of user misconfiguration. If I set the Firewall > Passthrough mode to DHCPS-Fixed (MAC of router) then the logs fill up...

Ever wondered what's inside a wifi antenna? Here's some pics.

That's funny. You'd think the 5GHz rod would be 2X longer than the 2.4GHz rod, not the other way around. heheh :p

I think my ASUS router somehow "poisoned" my AT&T's fiber gateway...

Are you using DHCPS-automatic or fixed? Do you normally have other devices connected directly to the GW? What WAN DNS service are you using?

I think my ASUS router somehow "poisoned" my AT&T's fiber gateway...

Just to make sure I'm not misleading anyone @eibgrad , here is a trace from my PC (where my GW is in passthrough mode): Tracing route to asus.com [103.10.4.227] over a maximum of 30 hops: 1 <1 ms <1 ms <1 ms myrouter [192.168.10.1] 2 1 ms <1 ms <1 ms 192.168.1.254 <-...

I think my ASUS router somehow "poisoned" my AT&T's fiber gateway...

It is one of 3 simplified ways the GW gives to the user to get the WAN connection to the router, and the firewall is excepted for that device. This would make it easier for people to configure for those wanting/expecting bridged mode, I suppose.

I think my ASUS router somehow "poisoned" my AT&T's fiber gateway...

Passthrough is double-NAT; AT&T's fiber gateway does not have a true bridge mode.

I think my ASUS router somehow "poisoned" my AT&T's fiber gateway...

You are saying a direct connection to the GW or going thru your router produce the same results? Then wouldn't that mean there is a problem with the GW or the connection to it?

AT&T BGW320-505 with two separate internet connections?

I set the BGW320-505 to IP Passthrough to my router, and I can get to my internal services from the WAN. I turned off all the BGW's Wi-Fi except the Guest network and set to "Internet Only." I want to connect to the BGW's guest network and still be able to connect to my internal services as if...

    XT12 IP Passthrough DHCPS-fixed

Have you tried using DHCPS-dynamic? Have you tried limiting the BGW's DHCP pool to (1) usable address (...1)? Have you tried setting the XT12's query frequency to Normal or Continuous? Does rebooting the BGW correct the situation (in lieu of fiddling with the XT12)? Could you post a pic of...

network IP address space seems odd

I used that site. It confirms that that mask is valid and you can't randomly select a network address. To be sure, subnet mask and netmask mean the same thing? In my original post, I mistakenly said "starting address" when I was thinking "network address". Thanks
