What WAN packet overhead settings should I use?

Maybe you should see a gastroenterologist. Just kidding. :D

RT-AX88U VPN Server "Others" Page Bug

Or even cleared the cache in the browser? You two have different tabs on the VPN page. Is that because of an add-on?

Xbox One X Insanely Slow 5ghz Wi-Fi Speeds

@Feral Why do you think your Cat 6 cable is throttling your 2Gbps connection? How long is the cable run?

How to prevent being hacked again - Router & devices? 😢

If your equipment has the capability, you can put IoTs on a separate, isolated SSID (i.e., guest network), but they'd still have access to the router, of course.

CSA rates router security and lifespan

Maybe that's how they achieved Level 4 - don't build in or expose any functionality but the bare minimum. :)

CSA rates router security and lifespan

Just ran across https://www.csa.gov.sg/our-programmes/certification-and-labelling-schemes/cybersecurity-labelling-scheme/for-consumers Originating in Singapore, the org has agreements with other countries. They rate hardware security levels 1-4. Browse their data by device type and mfr...

Windows HP laptop takes a long time to connect to Wi-Fi

Our HP Spectre often takes a long time to connect to the 5GHz Wi-Fi on the RT-AC68U. Everything is latest updates, not a new issue. If I just sit and wait it might take up to a few minutes after boot to connect. Sometimes, instead of waiting, I can restart the adapter and it will connect...

    Virus detection

So much for the expensive stuff ... "'Cuttlefish' has been spotted infecting enterprise-grade and small office/home office (SOHO) routers". It seems all routers are the same (even the big enterprise don't seem to have a great security record). But this is only if the user enables Trend Micro...

On my RT-AC68U, it is LAN > Switch Control

    ASUS AX-11000 Pro - 5GB Fiber

I'd test with NAT accel on and/or monitor the CPU usage during a speed test. It has been mentioned that the 2.5Gbps ports can't even max out, but I'd be surprised if a 10Gbps port couldn't handle 50% of its rating. Sorry I can't be more specific or helpful, but I don't know the actual hardware...

    ASUS AX-11000 Pro - 5GB Fiber

What speed are you getting when running thru the AX11000? Is NAT acceleration on?

Can this desired Network configuration be achieved?

You mean the AP would be connected parallel to the pfSense firewall? Shouldn't it be after the pfSense box?

    ASUS AX-11000 Pro - 5GB Fiber

What speed are you getting? Do you get 5Gb directly from the ISP device?

RT-AX86U Pro firmware - will it get 3.0.0.6?

The way that article is written indicates the AX11000 and AX86U should already have 3.0.0.6. I wonder if ASUS just forgot to upload it :p It indicates only the ZenWiFi models are in beta. The AX beta firmware is over a year old :(. VLAN supported models: GT-AX11000 Pro, GT-AX6000...

GL.iNet worth a try? Any advantage over ASUS?

They were having issues with the initial releases (people were very upset) with the drivers, they tried the new OpenWrt version, and, if I understand correctly, better drivers ended up in the older version they initially released with so they went back for now. They are developing both the...

Replacing AC88U, serving 6x CAT5e, all WiFi from AiMesh nodes...suggestions?

Then you could get a model with a 2.5GbE LAN port (+ the 3x or 4x 1GbE ports) and connect a 2.5GbE switch to it.

Replacing AC88U, serving 6x CAT5e, all WiFi from AiMesh nodes...suggestions?

Can you please explain how/why the bandwidth would be cut in half? And what do you mean by "concurrent bandwidth"?
