    I use the same USB 8812BU USB adapter on one of my computers, are you using the latest Realtek drivers / I had a problem last year until I found the latest drivers , since then it as been problem free . plus I never use "smart" connect

    Merlin is quicker to update security patches , Asus is months behind at times . in over 10 years using Merlin have had zero problems .W hen Merlin releases FW it is bug free Asus , you are a beta tester at least that is my experience

    strange mix of routers getting 5.0 from Asus my AX 1100 pro has a release of 5.0 , I just don't use Asus FW , rater wait for Merlin at least I know it will be bug free and stable , most likely going by previous FW strange the wifi XT 12 gets the 5.0 FW

    i don't know about tim hub , but the router modem supplied by my ISP I can no longer reach the modem/router interface once it was put in bridge mode

    Unfortunate but true , if I get 5 to 7 years use out of my router I'm happy . I stopped chasing the latest and greatest years ago , seems you can never catch up playing that game , every 6 months something new and "better" is released , bugs and all

    Don't hold your breath I have the AX1100 Pro which has 3006 FW out from Asus , I will wait for Merlin no matter how long it takes . Dont think any non pro version will get 5.0 just look at official Asus FW have not seen any non pro with 5.0

    Thanks , the XT9 is probably the problem as it is not on 3.0.0.0.6 I'm not sold on wifi7 yet 6e is good enough for now if I'm in range 20 to 30 feet from the router I'm getting close to full 1gig transfers wirelessfrom the internet close to 2 gig wireless intranet . I'll wait to see the...
