ASUS ROG Rapture GT-BE98 possible with ASUS DSL-AX82U (modem only)?

If the service requires PPPoE and it uses a VLAN, this may be why you can not reach one router or the other. (I don't have much experience with VLANs except they caused me trouble because we could no longer use the network printers). As I understand the subnet defines the accessible IPs so...

UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) Adversely Affects WiFi Performance?

I have a sine wave backup on order. Just plugging into the surge outlets causes normal behavior. Do you have any thoughts on why please?

ASUS ROG Rapture GT-BE98 possible with ASUS DSL-AX82U (modem only)?

Yes if you got the Speed port to work with the BE98 then it should only be a matter of settings! Good luck with your project and take your time, we'll be here...

ASUS ROG Rapture GT-BE98 possible with ASUS DSL-AX82U (modem only)?

Were you able to try the two methods in the ASUS link shared in post 11? Did either work? (I'm hoping the second one did)...

UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) Adversely Affects WiFi Performance?

Ordered one of these to try to sort it out. Some of my old UPSes got LiFePO4 replacement batteries instead of SLA (sealed lead acid). Have no idea how that factors in, maybe over voltage? GOLDENMATE 1000VA/800W UPS Battery Backup and Surge Protector, Backup Battery Power Supply with LiFePO4...

AP Mode on RT-BE96U w/AiMesh and Guest Network Pro not connecting clients

I believe the Guest Network Pro doesn't work in Access Point Mode, if I'm not mistaken. Some kind of bug in the firmware if it shows when in AP mode.

UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) Adversely Affects WiFi Performance?

Well, this is gonna have to be "To be continued" because I moved the BQ16 Pro to another room and connected it to an APC battery backup. (Now I have to prepare for class)...

UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) Adversely Affects WiFi Performance?

There's some harmonics in engine design, (by background I am studying automotive technology), but by the time they start talking about secondary harmonics based on cylinder firing, my mind starting being somewhere else... 😬

UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) Adversely Affects WiFi Performance?

No I did not try forcing it to battery power. The effects of just using the battery side were (to me) obvious. The UPS is plugged into the wall directly. Prior I was using a cheap surge strip, (but I had forgotten to mention). If it wasn't clear the UPS, a CyberPower S175UC (Sam's Club if...

UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) Adversely Affects WiFi Performance?

Phone app speed test. Ethernet seems unaffected but as an FYI everything is 10 Gbps ethernet except routers that do not support it and the 5 Gbps port on the AT&T BGW320-500. Service is 1 Gbps fiber.

UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) Adversely Affects WiFi Performance?

These are with the AC adapter rotated 180 degrees (so plugged into Surge protector ONLY side).

Definitely seems to have an effect...

I can't believe I've been living with terrible WiFi over this....

UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) Adversely Affects WiFi Performance?

I've been searching for two things- pure sine wave UPS, $$$, and replacement AC adapters, order of one decimal less, $$. The BQ16 Pro came with a 12V 5A AC adapter. This particular combo is available on Amazon. Do you think it's worth a shot? (My phone is WiFi 7 so likely on the 6 GHz band...

UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) Adversely Affects WiFi Performance?

Hmm. Thank you. I added a RT-AX5400 a few months ago. I reused the AC adapter from my EOL RT-AC68U. (That one is really old). It has been working great...

Which WRT 5 mesh node for RT-AX88U Pro (RT-AX86U PRO, GT-AX6000 or other)?

Turns out the AC adapters of the RT-AC68U era were also immune to simulated sine wave UPS output, which I've finally found to be the cause of all my (more) recent WiFi headaches it seems...

UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) Adversely Affects WiFi Performance?

I recently purchased a BQ16 Pro to patch up (horribly) poor WiFi speed in my sleeping quarters. I plugged it into the 120 V wall outlet typical of here in the USA. Everything including WiFi ran great. Then I decided to shore it up with a UPS so if power went out my ASUS network would not shut...

Which WRT 5 mesh node for RT-AX88U Pro (RT-AX86U PRO, GT-AX6000 or other)?

Well, there's another side to that... I am supporting their efforts to make AiMesh universal among their products. I estimate I purchased my RT-AC68U some time in 2016, and it is now 2024. That's roughly 8 years of service that I didn't even expect would work as a mesh node when I first...

Which WRT 5 mesh node for RT-AX88U Pro (RT-AX86U PRO, GT-AX6000 or other)?

Well I do have a partial solution to your issue. (Within the last few months I replaced an EOL RT-AC68U with a RT-AX5400). If you knew my collection of routers you would find no duplicate of the same model. (I am willing to break this rule for TP-Link as their Versions get different...
