BE98 Pro vs ASUS WiFi Gaming Router (RT-AC5300) - Tri-Band Gigabit Wireless Internet Router

Hopefully you can arrange them a little closer to each other. 6 GHz has slightly poorer range than 5 GHz. That's the only reason I would suspect they would choose 5 GHz over 6 GHz: https://www.asus.com/microsite/AiMesh/en/how_to.html

Asus GT-BE98 Forgets Wifi Password (except guest)

These are settings for my BE98 Pro. I would NOT enable WiFi 7 as that definitely doesn't help, but I notice some settings towards the bottom that are different. Maybe worth a shot to turn on beamforming for example

    BQ16 Pro Quad Band

Thank you for sharing the comparison. I have a GT-BE98 Pro but no RT-BE96U. I am still hoping to find a way to get one from a 3 pack as it is a good amount cheaper per unit. (I may need to just pay the $699.99, if they ever release the 1 pack). The 2 pack was released in the ASUS store for a...

    ASUS GT-BE98 Pro MLO dilemma

It says MLO in the features pages. Probably needs a firmware update/fix.

GT-BE98 Pro - setting up combined wired backhaul + wireless satellite?

Hmmm. In that light ASUS recently released a ZenWiFi BQ16 Pro. Currently 3-pack at Best Buy for a whopping $1699.99, ASUS.com 2-pack just released this morning for $1299.99. TP-Link has a more mature Deco BE95, (but 6 GHz-2 is dedicated backhaul only, capping maximum client use to 22000 Mbps...

News Acer Unveils Wave 7 Mesh Router with Wi-Fi 7 and Multi-Link Operation for Seamless Home Connectivity

I have a Predator Connect W6 set up in "bridge mode" (aka access point mode) in my son's bedroom, primarily to give his devices and 6E MacBook strong signal. Very limited configurability in this mode, need to switch back to router mode to check for firmware updates for example....

GT-BE98 Pro - setting up combined wired backhaul + wireless satellite?

Since you mentioned putting a BE98 Pro in one corner on the lower floor, then a 2nd router wired to another corner of the house, are you running new ethernet wire? Since the BE98 Pro and AXE16000 both support 10 Gb Ethernet, I'd just want to verify the cable between the two can handle that...

ZEN WIFI Pro ET12 AIMesh (weird MAC address)

6E devices can do MLO, that would have to be my next suspect/group of suspects. It's not your device you're using the ASUS Router app on?

GT-BE98 Pro - setting up combined wired backhaul + wireless satellite?

Mixed wired and wireless backhaul is definitely doable. It would be a defect/bug if you couldn't get it to work. I personally don't have experience because our house is wired to each room. But I can share when a node is disconnected from Ethernet that AiMesh immediately switches to wireless...

    BQ16 Pro Quad Band

Can't say I see the resemblance between a Lyra, (that's a Lyra right?), and BQ16 (Pro). If my ex Lyra Voice wasn't defective I would still have it today...

GT-BE98 Pro - setting up combined wired backhaul + wireless satellite?

Sadly my only gripe about the AXE16000 right now is that it's been almost 6 months since ASUS last released a firmware/BIOS for it...

Asus DSL-AX82U problems need tech help please

I like your exchange of the DSL router. I thought you had DSL service, hence that model. You have no need for the DSL modem function from it...

ZEN WIFI Pro ET12 AIMesh (weird MAC address)

I suspect that is the ET12 node's MAC address (2nd one as you call it).

GT-BE98 Pro - setting up combined wired backhaul + wireless satellite?

I have a BE98 Pro and AXE16000 with wired backhaul. The latest firmware works well, but I don't have experience with wireless backhaul, if you'd need to add a wireless node. How many pieces is your Netgear, 2 or 3?

Model with the strongest wifi signal?

Cable is actually better than DSL, at least per my experience. When I spoke with my AT&T fiber installer last January 11 he noted they still install DSL in some areas. I was shocked, (here in So Cal). How about what their friends/neighbors, maybe they have similar experience and can share?

    GT-AX11000 Pro Dual Wan

Hmm. I reread your initial post to see what else I may have missed... As far as Failover and Fallback, from personal experience these options are only made available IF Dual WAN is enabled, not the opposite way around. But what you seem to mean is that when primary WAN fails and secondary is...

    GT-AX11000 Pro Dual Wan

BTW- Did you try firmware restoration on the "bricked" AX11000?
  19. J

    GT-AX11000 Pro Dual Wan

When you set up Dual WAN you should be able to select primary WAN and secondary WAN ports. While the tech specs show only two WAN ports USB is an option, and sometimes specific LAN ports. I used to set up a cell phone as failover with fallback. If you now pay for two internet services because...

Asus DSL-AX82U problems need tech help please

If you're saying it's the firmware then we have to accept it as the cause, if you're now concerned it is the time of day and congestion then we have to accept that. It's kind of hard being (thousands of) kms away to tell what is going on. One thing that just hit me: How exactly do you connect...
