Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.6 is now available for select models

Good to know. Could you please confirm whether the router's own IP needs to be excluded from the the OpenVPN client tunnel if the OpenVPN server is to be accessible from WAN (i.e. if wanting to remotely connect to the VPN server whilst the VPN client on the router is also active at the same time)?

Beta ASUSWRT 386 RC3-3 public beta for IPv6 DDNS and IPv6 VPN server

Please enjoy and have some beers (or coffee ☕) on me. Thank you again for your work.

Beta ASUSWRT 386 RC3-3 public beta for IPv6 DDNS and IPv6 VPN server

I am a bit confused here. Is this an official Asus firmware or a Merlin one? If official stock, then why is it not on their official website where other beta releases are?

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.6 is now available for select models

Just wanted to say a big thank you for your hard work. I had my new GT-AX6000 packed away and ready to go back to retailer due to small issues with it not running in the way I wanted until I saw that you have started to sprinkle your magical dust on to it. I particularly like the the non-ROG web...

    aiprotection & dual wan

This combination appear to be working on my new GT-AX6000 but only if AiProtection is turned on using the Asus android app whilst load balancing and it cannot be done from the normal web UI. Is this a "positive" glitch?

Solved New Asus GT-AX6000 does not receive public IP from ISP via DHCP

Isn't it the case that the Draytek in bridge mode will pass PPPoE on to your Asus and hence the need to authenticate your credentials there? I am sorry if I am talking gibberish here but I am not an expert. Is it worth you trying it? I have also just received my GT-AX6000 yesterday and my god...

Solved New Asus GT-AX6000 does not receive public IP from ISP via DHCP

I may be wrong but I think that your Draytek cannot hand in IP address in bridge "modem" mode and you will need to set your Asus to PPPoE mode instead to get the WAN IP directly from your ISP as a result.

    WAN Aggregation PLUS VPN Fusion

On a slightly separate note about WAN aggregation functionality of these routers. Do they allow bonding/linking 4G LTE router AND a "slow" FTTP broadband service to increase overall speed or do they only work for 2x fast gigabit services delivered via a "specially-made" modem service?

    WAN Aggregation PLUS VPN Fusion

Thanks for the reply. I thought someone might have already tried this. Will probably end up getting one and will report back if working as desired.

    WAN Aggregation PLUS VPN Fusion

Apologies if this has been asked before but I could not find an answer after doing a search. Can someone please tell me if the 2 functions (i.e. WAN aggregation and VPN Fusion) can be simultaneously used on the GT-AX6000 ROG Rapture router before I pull the trigger and press on the buy button? I...

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.5 GNUton's builds are now available

Wireguard implementation (a poor one as far as I am concerned) has been out for a long time now: https://www.snbforums.com/threads/asuswrt-386-rc3-3-public-beta-for-ipv6-ddns-and-ipv6-vpn-server.75829/

Beta ASUSWRT 386 RC3-3 public beta for IPv6 DDNS and IPv6 VPN server

Tried it again and only working for openVPN but unfortunately not for Wireguard. The "default connection" feature appears to be broken for wireguard protocol.

    Wireguard Wireguard

Any update on this as it has been several months since the RC3 has been released? Also will Merlin finally add the XT8 to the list of supported routers?

Beta ASUSWRT 386 RC3-3 public beta for IPv6 DDNS and IPv6 VPN server

That does not appear to make any difference and all clients appear to still go through normal connection unless the device is specifically set for the VPN even when the latter is selected as the default connection. A bit useless to be honest when you want most devices to go via the VPN tunnel.

Beta ASUSWRT 386 RC3-3 public beta for IPv6 DDNS and IPv6 VPN server

I am also very interested in this as the VPN policies here appear to be all over the place and do not really make much sense. I also could not find any guidance online as to how to get it to properly work.
