Release ASUS RT-N66U Firmware version 3.0.0.4.382_52734

Different people, different experiences. My RT-N66U moved about 3 years ago to my sons apartment where it sits behind the apartment building supplied network socket (double NAT). As you know one of the top 3 priorities in young guys life is good WiFi, well he never complained about his WiFi...

Release ASUS RT-N66U Firmware version 3.0.0.4.382_52734

ASUS values their dear customers. Linksys does not even shows the counterpart E4200 V2 anymore on their support site, oh wait that was long ago my reason to move from Linksys to ASUS. Like many manufacturers of routers and consumer electronics Linksys issues one or two firmware upgrades then...

    ASUS RT-N66U Firmware version 3.0.0.4.382.52272

I suppose ASUS feels too committed to be held responsible for possible hacking or destruction of their good old fellows, in this case the "Dark Knight" RT-N66U, I bet there are still many in operation. Good old days when devices got a name on top of their product number. The last two release...

    Release ASUS RT-AC68U Firmware version 3.0.0.4.386_51722 (2024/11/26)

The progress bar is running in your computer browser in the time the router is performing the update. Sometimes the bar is slow and the router is back online before the bar reached the end, other times the bar is fast and the router needs more time to finish the upgrade and come back online...

    Release ASUS RT-AC68U Firmware version 3.0.0.4.386_51722 (2024/11/26)

Again performed dirty upgrades for the RT-AC68U Router and RT-AC1900U Media Bridge, so far so good. The RT-AC1900U I upgraded yesterday using a manual downloaded file because the Firmware search did not find the update yet. The RT-AC68U I upgraded online this morning. Dirty upgrades meaning...

    Release ASUS RT-AC68U Firmware version 3.0.0.4.386_51720 (2024/11/13)

Our RT-AC68U Router and RT-AC1900U Media Bridge do run without scheduled reboots and since some firmware releases ago (I really can't tell when, 2022 or 2023) I never need to reboot them due to issues. Both boxes run until the next firmware release installation or get rebooted after a power...

Manually set 2.4Ghz wifi channel on Asus RT-AC68U in mesh node

On 2.4 GHz the channels 1 to 11 are globally standard, the channels 12, 13 and 14 are region specific. Many manufacturers go the easy way and instead of adjusting to the local law they implement what is allowed globally. The RT-AC68U comes in different versions (like in the past the VW Beetle...

    Release ASUS RT-AC68U Firmware version 3.0.0.4.386_51685 (2024/04/15)

It is highly unlikely that your ISP is blocking port 123 for the NTP protocol, or blocking any port. Also consumer routers do by default not block any ports. Your answers to the further questions do not make any sense, as outlined by Tech9. Setting the time manual is another option, why would...

Solved AC86U USB not reading 5 volts

As longs as the capacitance (uF) is equal and the nominal voltage (V) is equal or higher, you can replace capacitors. I do somehow like your practical approach 👍

Solved AC86U USB not reading 5 volts

Checking electronic components while they are soldered in place is a challenge: for sure you will never be able to exactly determine their nominal resistance or capacitance because the way they are part of the schematic changes the value you will measure. Also applying the voltage of your multi...
