    Export OpenVPN configuration file

I'm running Merlin's 384.4_2 on a RT-AC68U. Sorry if this is a dumb question but can the same client1.ovpn file generated by the export function be used on multiple client pc's? Or do I have to do separate exports to generate separate client configurations?

[Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374.43 LTS releases (Archive)

I use a 10.*.*.* address for my internal network and network map works fine for me.

    [Release 384/NG] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.4 is now available

Just installed 384.4_2 over 384.4_0 and now QOS seems to be broken. I disabled QOS then rebooted then re-enabled QOS and same issue. Bandwidth monitor barely shows any traffic. I stream TV via Sling and Xfinity's streaming app so I should be seeing continuous download traffic of around 4...

    [Release 380] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.69 is now available

Running an AC68U on 380.69. Problem upgrading to this new version. I verified the download via a SHA-256 calculator. After clicking upload to start the upgrade process, the message "Please wait, Applying Settings ..." appears and doesn't change from that point. The router still works so now...

[Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374.43 LTS releases (Archive)

I was looking at the iptables setup and I see the attached in the INPUT chain. Why is the "ACCEPT all .... state NEW" line duplicated? I guess it doesn't hurt anything. It just looked weird. I did a fresh reboot before looking at the INPUT chain. RT-N66U Firmware: 374.43_29E2j9527

[Fork] 374.43 LTS Beta including new rev AC68U routers (V27BI)

This is completely subjective but wireless seems a bit more responsive. I greatly appreciate your ongoing work with this fork.

[Fork] 374.43 LTS Beta including new rev AC68U routers (V27BI)

Just loaded 3.0.0.4.374.43_27BIj9527 onto my RT-N66U and I see these messages in the system log after the load: Dec 31 19:00:08 syslog: module cdc_wdm not found in modules.dep Dec 31 19:00:08 syslog: module qmi_wwan not found in modules.dep Dec 31 19:00:08 syslog: module cdc_mbim not found in...

[Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374.43 LTS releases (Archive)

Just came upon this news item and wanted to know if John's fork is impacted. http://www.theregister.co.uk/2017/05/11/asus_routers_need_patching/ Here's the initial part of the article: "Asus RT wireless routers have joined the SOHOpeless list – with poor cross-site request forgery protection...

[Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374.43 LTS releases (Archive)

John ... There's an important OpenSSL update being released on March 1st. Here is an extract of OpenSSL's pre-release advisory: The OpenSSL project team would like to announce the forthcoming release of OpenSSL versions 1.0.2g, 1.0.1s. These releases will be made available on 1st March 2016...

    Asuswrt-Merlin 380.57 is now available

Just curious if anyone has noticed reduced battery life on their Android device when their router is running 380.57. I downgraded back to 378.56_2 and it seems normal again. Sorry I don't have any measurements ... just an anecdotal observation. Isn't the wireless driver on 380.57 different...

[Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374.43 LTS releases (Archive)

I read a while back that some RT-N66U's had defective LAN ports and they would fail after a period of time. My brother's RT-N66U had exactly this issue and ASUS replaced it since it was still within the 2 year warranty period. I purchased mine at the same time and I've never had the issue...

    Asuswrt-Merlin 378.50 is out

Today I upgraded from V7 of the fork to 378.50. This is only anecdotal and I have not run any wireless performance metrics, but my wireless seems more "consistent". Less pauses than I remember previously. RT-N66U

    Asuswrt-Merlin 376.49 is out

-85 dbm is a BETTER signal strength than -92 dbm, by the way. In other words, it's LESS NEGATIVE which is a better signal.

    Asuswrt-Merlin 374.39 is out

I ran into the same thing. In my case, I was going thru the UI and turning off things I don't use. I think it happened when I turned off either Dual WAN or the 3G/4G option under USB application. The router reset and I lost everything I had previously entered. It would have been nice to have...

    3.0.0.4_374.34_2 reports as 3.0.0.4.270.24

Fixed - Thanks Thanks for the reply and for the great work on this firmware. I had tried it twice before posting. I ended up downloading the software again, then used the WPS button to restore to defaults, then uploaded to the router using a different browser and ... bingo ... it...

    3.0.0.4_374.34_2 reports as 3.0.0.4.270.24

I downloaded RT-N66U_3.0.0.4_374.34_2.zip and unzipped to RT-N66U_3.0.0.4_374.34_2.trx. After loading I reset to factory defaults. My RTN66U now reports its running 3.0.0.4.270.24? What am I doing wrong?

    High load average during download

It doesn't mean 3.75%. Load averages do not represent % CPU usage. Instead, they represent the load on the CPU by processes waiting for their chance to use the CPU.

    Asuswrt-Merlin 3.0.0.4.270.24 is out

Just wanted to pass along my experience with 3.0.0.4.270.24. I initally setup an RT-N66U for my brother using version 3.0.0.4.246.20. He uses an Apple iPad2 and it would constantly freeze over wireless when rendering web pages. These freezes would last a minute or more. After upgrade...
