Oh. Yeah... Thanks for your patience. This is what happens when you have the flu and trying to mess with things. Barely been out of bed the past couple of days.

[Release] FreshJR Adaptive QOS (Improvements / Custom Rules / and Inner workings)

FWIW, I tried turning on QOS and then installing FreshJR_QOS, letting it restart QOS (asks the question during install). Now it is running, but does not appear to have the correct functionality as Undf FlowID is pointing to 17 (and should be 13, or at least was in previous versions): adaptive...

[Release] FreshJR Adaptive QOS (Improvements / Custom Rules / and Inner workings)

Since upgrading to 384.10, the script does not seem to be working for me. I get this everytime I check with --debug and the QOS is obviously not functioning: adaptive QOS: Undf Prio: adaptive QOS: Undf FlowID: adaptive QOS: Classes Present: 1 adaptive QOS: Down Band: 0 adaptive QOS: Up Band ...

How often do you guys reboot?

Fellow RT-AC3200 owner here. I only reboot when installing new firmware, making significant configuration changes (rare now), or the router has become unresponsive (was a non-issue until recently on 384.9, when I had to reboot a few times in the same week). There is work happening 24/7 on our...

[384.10_Alpha - builds] Testing all variants.

Ok, interesting. Thanks for settling that. I wondered if that might have been doing something in the background that was causing the router to hang. It's a problem I've not had previously and troubleshooting to this point wasn't helping. No clues in the syslog either. If it can make it through...

[384.10_Alpha - builds] Testing all variants.

Been running 384.10_alpha2-gb9d6669b27 on my RT-AC3200 for a little over 26 hours now without any problems. I had been having some issues with 384.9, mainly the router becoming unresponsive from time to time. When I saw that the 384.10 aplha was capping the tracked connections, I decided to...

[Release] FreshJR Adaptive QOS (Improvements / Custom Rules / and Inner workings)

I do both, although the second is more important than the first. I don't want to derail your work. If push comes to shove, I can stick with what I have. Being able to track connections is gravy for me, it is more important that I have the desired functionality under the hood.

[Release] FreshJR Adaptive QOS (Improvements / Custom Rules / and Inner workings)

@FreshJR Will this new GUI also handle IPv6 rules or will those have to be handled manually? If so, will that cause disruption to anything else presented in the UI? I realize IPv6 is not as important, I don't mind manually handling them at all. Just curious after seeing that screenshot.

[Release] FreshJR Adaptive QOS (Improvements / Custom Rules / and Inner workings)

My recollection from tests were that they went into VOIP as expected/hoped (I am on T-Mobile as well). However, I did have to disable SIP Passthrough on the WAN -> NAT Passthrough page to get good quality with it (when that was enabled, everything was like a bad Skype call).

Skynet Skynet - Router Firewall & Security Enhancements

That is awesome news. I presume that is also true for the Hue integration w/ Homekit? Sounds like the WeMo app is poorly designed. The same is true for ecobee thermostats. You cannot use the ecobee app without the thermostat being able to reach the Internet, but you can use Homekit just fine.

Skynet Skynet - Router Firewall & Security Enhancements

For Hue, it is only the bridge that uses your network (bulbs communicate with it using Zigbee). You will be able to control everything locally without that. I am not sure if this breaks Alexa integration, though.

Roku Netflix problem on Merlin Firmware

The best way to handle these hardcoded DNS instances, in my experience, is redirecting that IPv4 traffic, using iptables at the router. The device has no idea it isn't actually talking to Google/whatever. Dropping/rejecting those connection attempts makes them freak out.

[384.9_Alpha - builds] Testing all variants.

That is happening for me. The count is also wrong. It stops at 19, yet there are over 30 devices connected and functioning properly. Since it appears to be only a GUI problem, I've not worried about it. I have been running 384.9_alpha2-g2ee0afa1c on my RT-AC3200 for about 8.5 hours.

Is the RT-AC3200 even being updated by ASUS?

I plan to run mine until it fails, barring some sort of catastrophic security issue that cannot be worked around/mitigated.
