    Maybe Asus removed it because it was causing problems. I haven't used Merlin's firmware. I really haven't need anything beyond what Asus offers in their stock, and as a whole, this router is overkill for my needs. But I like having the flexibility and options (if needed.)

    I just logged in to check, and I don't see any option to hibernate a hard drive. I don't ever remember seeing one to begin with though. I don't connect drives to the router though. I run Plex on the Mac, and then have it's drives connected directly to the computer, and the same with Time...

    I copied and pasted the two links in the post above. When I went to the support site link from the router's UI, the new firmware wasn't listed yet. Hopefully this will cover it. This is my first time posting a firmware release thread.

    I understand what you mean now. I was just not sure at first what you were referring to. It's the build number in the 2xx range vs 3xx.

    the change log was copied directly from the info about the firmware in the UI, if there were any questions on that as well.

    OK, installed the firmware on my RT-AX86U, so far no immediate problems. Also corrected my typing errors for the thread title, and date, so we should be good now.
