Release RT-AC88U New Firmware Version 3.0.0.4.386.41535

Of course I tried resetting the router just as the log states. I'll be skipping this version and if it does the same thing to the ax88u, my other router, I'll be skipping it there too!

Release RT-AC88U New Firmware Version 3.0.0.4.386.41535

This new firmware caused Xfinity to disable my internet connection to my Netgear CM500 modem. They tried resetting it and only after I rolled back to 630 were they able to restore my internet. I just updated to 631 and that is where I'm staying.

    Firmware 3.0.0.4.386_41535 AC88U

I just rolled back to 631 because this firmware caused Xfinity to disable my cable modem, Netgear CM500, and no matter how many times they tried resetting it my internet was down until I went back to the older firmware. You have been warned!

I still haven't taken mine out of the box and won't until I move allowing the ac88u to continue its duties.

[AC-88U] Lan port 5-8 no longer functional

I power cycled it and they came back on, however, with them being on a surge and voltage protected APC I'm not happy that they decided to take an extended break on me even though they never lost power.

[AC-88U] Lan port 5-8 no longer functional

Gents this just happened to me with 5-8. They worked fine last night but tonight no dice. Had to shuffle things around to the 4 primary ports and will have to use switches to regain those extra ports back.

This firmware is working well for me.

AC88U firmware: inconsistent Asus site vs. console version

The phone app picked up on the update immediately and offered the update so I used it. Often times my router is slow to show an available update.

AC88U firmware: inconsistent Asus site vs. console version

My router updated itself this evening to 81790 via the phone app.

It's time to move to Netgear?

Thanks. We lucked out when it veered away from us so it was just windy like a cold front passing through with clouds and rain. That is why I stay on the inland side of town away from any flood zones which I have done since I moved back to FL. If I move again I plan to try the Atlanta area.

It's time to move to Netgear?

I have mine set to a weekly reboot to clear out the cobwebs. :D

It's time to move to Netgear?

I just wanted to add that I've run Netgear, Linksys, D-Link and Asus consumer routers and Asus has been the very best for me. As I'm not a fanboy I always research available offerings before I purchase so I can make the best choice and when lightning recently took out my original 88u another...

It's time to move to Netgear?

Netgear r8000 is why I'm running an Asus RT-AC88U. Random radio shutdowns dropping all cellphone clients onto their carrier data plans just didn't cut it.

    Hurricane Dorian

The latest guidance predicts she's moving east of Florida and will keep the core offshore. I'm tired of the these storms and will be glad when I can leave this area for good. As for the accuweather app it's still reporting erroneous data so they definitely need to fix it.
