    I am also having this issue of logging into the GUI with 384.17 on a RT86U happens every day or so, and never had it on previous firmwares. Reboot ( Power off and on ) brings it back but is a bit of a PITA ! Anyone any clues as to why or how to resolve ?

    Yes, but it doesnt matter as the linux and windows config files are the same as far as i can see these are my settings on 384.12 for me this works fine with one exception that even though i have Block routed clients if tunnel goes down set to Yes if the vpn client goes down then it reconnects...

    Yes, Id assume secure mode enabled would be recommended, and wrt port forwarding rules I have none ! does that mean im probably OK at the moment leaving secure mode at disabled

    AFAIK if those commands are included in the PIA ovpn config file ( which they are in their latest ovpn files), and you import that file then they are not needed in custom config I certainly don't have them in my custom config file and my PIA connection is just fine at at full speed on...

    As mentioned in my first post i copied and pasted from @RMerlin post into Notepad ++ when i try do2unix /jffs/scripts/nvramclean.sh i get this im assuming thats what you wanted me to do :confused: please...i am a complete beginner with scripts !!

    Thanks to both of you for comimg back. I renamed the file to nvramclean.sh and tried what both of you suggested. Here is the result so not really sure that worked ? in the case of sh /jffs/scripts/nvramclean.sh it mentions line 2 and 4 are not found i do not have any vpn clients set up...
