He already answered it in the post above the one you quoted (and in that one as continuation). Did you miss it?

Old and known thing - use search..!? ;)

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 3004.388.4 is now available

As far as I know, normal if you close the tab/browser - the timer stops and logout never occurs. Have always been so for me with this and previous ASUS router (other brands too). Works only while on open page.

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 3004.388.4 is now available

I came from the same router to router combination. Both radios have clearly stronger throughput than previous, with 5GHz having also longer reach with higher signal and 2.4GHz shorter with weaker but even still faster at same distance - on same channels and settings as old router obviously. So...

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 3004.388.4 is now available

Very stable FW (for me). And the best WiFi drivers to date in this GPL! :)

    I must say, you're a funny one! 😁

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 3004.388.4 is now available

And the log-file looking the same - just a coincidence..? 🤔 I agree for the resetting - but just how many people know how to delete just the right ASD files via SSH..? 😅

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 3004.388.4 is now available

Sure sounds like crashing to me: bad update file - ASD corrupt (crashed) - whole router crashing (offline)... No? And the logfile is looking the same as mine.

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 3004.388.4 is now available

Here. That might work... ;) And yes no impact for me either, just the ASD crashing; but last time it had horrendous effect for some!

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 3004.388.4 is now available

Seams clear to me by just a look at it, because it states it clearly: YazDHCP - dnsmasq issue. So the add-on itself, or your ISP having micro disconections that messes it up. Would go with the first for portability...

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 3004.388.4 is now available

As I understood RMerlin, it has nothing to do with FW versions or models, and it auto-updates with no possibility to prevent it. ASUS updates it solo, eg. if you are stuck with a bad ASD update and the new one can not fix it, they advise full reset (JFFS in particular) which is a pain! 😅 ie...

Question Regarding Bandwidth Settings, 160MHz, and DFS

I use channel 100 instead of 36 because the signal is noticeably stronger, and the higher band i less occupied for me. I also noticed long ago that when fixed at 100/160 (or 100/80 with old router), that made all the neighbors routers flee and free that space (all on auto I presume) after a day...

Question Regarding Bandwidth Settings, 160MHz, and DFS

It was awful for me too with old WiFi drivers - 1-2 h at best, sometimes only 10minutes! ;) Since, practically NO false-positives 🙃
  16. MDM

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 3004.388.4 is now available

They probably would, since they have a separate ASD update for Merlin FW.

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 3004.388.4 is now available

Yes, the May one; but as you can see in the log, it just happened to me (only once as of now) ;) Thus is why I asked... 😁

No; DCD is Trend Micro, ASD is ASUS.. ;)

Question Regarding Bandwidth Settings, 160MHz, and DFS

I live in a Capital city in Europe (Belgrade, Serbia) - so NOT EU, but my router is EU... Airport is at 13km, military airport 20km, national weather station 7km (not in direct view - over a hill), and airplanes passing over my head (not that low usually - am not on the flight path). With...
