Right..in all this time someone has to be beta testing or test. Bugs would be reported through the feedback page?

    GT-AX6000 is EOL?

Checking .. The NetGear RAXE500 received firmware in Jan 2023 and the latest Dec 2023.. Linksys MR7500 received update Oct 2022 and the latest Mar 2023 So ASUS is now compliant with its home competition lol.

    GT-AX6000 is EOL?

Break the 5Ghz and ignore complaints for months like NetGear did on the 7800.

    GT-AX6000 is EOL?

It's unusual right for asus right to issue not even security fixes over a year? A bit surprised but its working great and we can switch to RMerlin if we're concerned about individual security patches that he may address.

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 3004.388.6 is now available

If it was by ip address and the client got a new one assigned I could see the setting getting lost..so figure it must be by Mac address or name to make sense. You could try assigning a static ip to the device and see the setting sticks.

    Asus gt ax1100

Oh.. For this router I would use the 192.168.1.x network ..set the PC to 192.168.1.2 , default gw to 192.168.1.1. Try Id then try pinging 192.168.1.1 with the router plugged into a LAN port. If it fails to ping.. Id try to get it into "rescue mode" where the light is flashing and see if the...

    Asus gt ax1100

Wasn't there a static ip to set on windows/PC? Then use the rescue mode utility to a lan port? ..ie the router us not handing out an ip. Have to ask if you tried a different cable.

Is it possible to get some kind of hardware firewall which only allows outbound connections on a whitelist?

I was thinking of dns blocking like diversion or nextdns... but I suppose malware can have a hard-coded IP in it and not do a dns lookup that is in a block list? But those lists are updated.

Will a high-end consumer router have enough processing power to function as 1000 Mbps+ Wireguard VPN client?

All I earned in this thread is we are getting gouged by our ISPs in the U.S.

    Pfsense wins awards

If you hit "1" in the top above it should list a line for %CPU for each of your CPUs. I imagine if things are well threaded you should see each CPU have more or less the same usage...

What are my options Netgear R9000 Replacement with at least 6 LAN ports built in?

The TP-LINK AXE16000.. the specs look really nice. But it looks like it has 2 hardware Revs and each has a firmware release once a year from the support page. I have a great fear of no updates.. I hope it works well.
