    AiMesh vs Lyra Trio?

Hey art. I see my syslog, and a wifi log ... not sure I follow "by feedback function"? Also, can I send these to you directly somehow? Would prefer not to post them publicly.

    AiMesh vs Lyra Trio?

Samsung S8 and Note 8. Crazy enough, just realized that the AC5300 was a rev behind the other two. Just updated to .2104. Will see how this goes. Also, is SmartConnect worth enabling at this point? I seemed to have worse results when using it vs. just naming all my SSID's the same. Which is...

    AiMesh vs Lyra Trio?

Hey all, The new Lyra looks pretty interesting. Reviews seem a bit mediocre; however, I'm still fighting issues with my AiMesh. I have a AC66U B1, AC5300 and GT5300 all in a Mesh. Generally speaking, it works like a champ. The biggest issues I face are roaming. When we go outside, go between...

    AiMesh - phones only disconnect

Continued to experiment last couple days. Thought maybe the lack of the second 5ghz channel or power or the ac66u was a culprit... So took it out as a node. No positive gain. After I disabled smart connect, I did see positive change. Even though I have times where I get the exclamation point...

    AiMesh - phones only disconnect

I'm gonna call Asus tomorrow but anyone else have suggestions? This is crazy frustrating and makes me want to sell these and go with a proper mesh system.

    AiMesh - phones only disconnect

Disabling airtime fairness and beamforming unfortunately have not helped. Same symptoms exist. Take the dog out back, have internet. Walk around the house, strong (enough, - 50db) signal remains but exclamation point shows up and I lose connection. Any thoughts?

    AiMesh - phones only disconnect

Also appears that disabling airtime fairness and/or universal beamforming is kicking my Ac66u B1 out as a node? Had to manually reset the router rejoin, re-applied the settings and it was kicked out again?

    AiMesh - phones only disconnect

Should I disable both universal and 802.11ac beamforming?

    AiMesh - phones only disconnect

So perfect example. Took dog outside, lost internet (got exclamation point but still well within range. Came back inside perfectly strong signal, exclamation remains ... No internet. Disconnected/reconnected, all is well. Looking now for airtime fairness and beamforming.

    AiMesh - phones only disconnect

They're the only two devices that we roam the house with no other devices have any connectivity issues. So it seems to be something with a bad hop between routers?

    AiMesh - phones only disconnect

Thanks, should have specified. The signal is always very strong. Even when walking back to a stronger area, exclamation remains with no connectivity. Disconnecting and reconnecting immediately fixes the problem. It's almost as if when I jump routers that I lose my connection but only sometimes..

    AiMesh - phones only disconnect

Hey all, Have a GT5300, AC5300 and 66u B1 in a mesh setup. Everything is relatively stable, except on our phones (Note 8 and S8). Sometimes going from 2nd floor to basement our inside to outside, we lose internet but still remain on WiFi (wifi symbol shows an exclamation point). Any...

"Block internet access" option in web UI

Sorry to revive an old thread, but I'm back to running on stock firmware and are you supposed to be able to block access via the client list? I have no options to change:

AiMesh stability issues - worth keeping?

I have not, not a bad idea. My return window expires this week, while I am on the road for work. Just having a hard time deciding. I dropped $300 on this second 5300 and can get a 3 pack of Velop (refurbished) for the same. Struggling to decide which route is best.

AiMesh stability issues - worth keeping?

Hey all, I recently added a GT-AC5300 to my house which has an RT-AC5300 and AC66U B1. They're all acting in an AiMesh setup, connected via ethernet, using SmartConnect (I know this in itself may be problematic too). More often than not, everything works great. Yet, every now and then, shirt...

USB hard drive - SMB1 protocol issue

Damn, thanks. Is it advisable to enable SMB1 though?

USB hard drive - SMB1 protocol issue

Hey all, When trying to access a hard drive attached to the USB port of a GT-AC5300 via unc (\\GT-AC5300), I get the following: "You can't connect to the file share because it's not secure. This share requires the obsolete SMB1 protocol, which is unsafe and could expose your system to attack...
