Ads on top of forum content...

I just noticed that you are using the old forum template. I had not edited that template so that logged in users would not see the floater. I just made the edit, so you should not see the floater any more. You might want to check out the new templates. Click on the Style chooser link at the...

Ads on top of forum content...

Yes, you are correct. But again, you should not be seeing the floater any more since you are logged in. That is how it is working for me. If you are logged in and still seeing the ad it could be due to browser settings or ad blockers. At any rate, I've made all the adaptations on this that I'm...

Ads on top of forum content...

Your screenshot shows no right hand column. When you fix that, the ad won't overlap.

Ads on top of forum content...

Ads on top of forum content...

Yes, It's a floating ad, not constrained/resized to fit the right column. Colin's interpretation regarding content interference is correct. The ad is closable and should not appear upon every page refresh.

Ads on top of forum content...

Where are ads over content aside from right column?

Ads on top of forum content...

They are purposely placed in the right hand column, where they don't cover the main thread content. I can't control how many times a particular ad is shown, just as you can't control that on streaming platforms. Gotta pay the bills, gentlemen.

Maybe Blocking YouTube isn’t worth it…

Ok folks. The topic is YouTube (or other sites) blocking users who ad block, not the content of those sites. Back on topic please.
