Release ASUS RT-AX88U Firmware version 3.0.0.4.388.22237

With Wifi7 routers announced by Asus, it really makes sense to continue using my trusty RT-AX88U for another 1 year. Wifi6e scene is a big disappointment for India due to lethargic Indian govt still considering release of 6Ghz spectrum for general Wifi6e/7 use. So I have to get US models...

    Beta RT-AX86U_Pro Beta firmware 9.0.0.6.102_3506

The problem is newer devices like iPad Pro 2022 models have skipped 160 Mhz channel width on 5Ghz. So Wifi 6e router with 6Ghz is really needed to get 2400 Mbps link rates. So my RT-AX88U is redundant with no phone or device apart from Intel AX200 capable of utilizing 160 Mhz width over 5Ghz...

    Beta RT-AX86U_Pro Beta firmware 9.0.0.6.102_3506

RT-AX88U is now 4-5 years old. It still is a top notch router and I have been using 3 since early 2019 in mesh mode and appeared to be fairly stable. I hope Asus updates it to 9.0.0.6 beta firmware with eventual 3.0.0.6.390 firmware. I will absolutely not upgrade to Wifi 6e routers which are...

    Beta RT-AX86U_Pro Beta firmware 9.0.0.6.102_3506

Doesn't GT-AX6000 have latest BCM4912 which is there in RT-AX86U Pro as well? I hope to see this new firmware available for all AX models. RT-AC68U might finally get dropped and reach it's EOL.

    Aimesh and 160mhz Channel Bandwidth

I am using 160Mhz on Channel 40 on 2 x RT-AX88U in AiMesh mode since 2 years without ANY issue. WinFi 1.0.22 reports 4800 Mbps bandwidth on 5Ghz and I max out my gigabit connection using Intel AX200 and another laptop with AX210. I only select 160Mhz and not 20+40+80+160 combo option.

No more date with the router release notes

Hiding the date is malicious intention. Maybe to prevent people from emailing or calling customer care about newer firmware availability. The RT-AX92U still on January firmware thread comes to mind.

    Aquantia AQC10x firmware update

@follower Surprisingly I had zero issues with AQC113C which is onboard Asus Z690 ProArt motherboard. Been using it for almost 6 months now. WOL works too. It might be a problem with specific Gigabyte version of that card.

    Aquantia AQC10x firmware update

@follower I had zero issues updating 4 different cards based on AQC-107 chipset to latest Marvell official firmware. 1. Asus XG-100C 2. QNAP QXG-10G1T (I use this in QNAP TS-653B) 3. Syba AQC107S black PCB (In Office PC) 4. Aquantia AQN107 (Purchased from Aquantia's website in 2018 before...

    Asus Ax89X WireGuard

@Gustour SFP+ based routers are not popular as there are hardly any people using SFP+ ports and cables in home usage scenario. When it comes to 10G ethernet, I don’t see any advantages of SFP+. I also had difficulties in getting WOL to work on SFP+

    Asus Ax89X WireGuard

Since RT-AX89X is based on Qualcomm Atheros QCN8074 SOC, no one actually knows how much software support it will get. IT might go the RT-AC87U Quantenna way. Always get Broadcom based Asus routers for maximum support and also ignore their experimental routers like RT-AX89X, RT-AC87U...

Whatever happened to the ASUS RT-AX86 Pro release?

Only to find router not released yet and some super intelligent being proclaiming “Release will happen when it happens” :p

Marvell's stupid website has been updated.

    Aquantia AQC10x firmware update

@Kolowski I know it's too late but I found the link sanke1 sent me which had a video of how to restore firmware to older version along with correct MAC address. After firmware update is successful and you have rebooted your PC 2-3 times, you can proceed to update it to latest official firmware...
