[Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.17 (and 384.13_8) are now available

There seems to be an issue with DNS-over-TLS and VPN Clients. Neither of my two clients would connect unless I turned DOT off. This has not been an issue before, and no other settings were changed. Both clients are set to "exclusive" DNS, FWIW. EDIT--->The router itself is running two...

[Beta] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.11 Beta is now available

I have about 20 devices on my network, so a reset is burdensome. I'll end up doing it I guess. It only started with the Alpha. The client list has always been unreliable per Asus bugs, but it's never been zero. Other screens show clients in offline mode. FWIW, they all appear to be connected...

[Beta] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.11 Beta is now available

Beta 2: Client list still shows ZERO. Multiple browsers. Cache cleared. RT-AC1900P

[Beta] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.11 Beta is now available

On LAN/DCHP Server, all clients are always shown offline. Beta1b.

[Beta] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.11 Beta is now available

"View List" for clients on the Network Map page always displays zero now for me. I understand this is an ASUS issue, but it at least used to be inconsistent. Now it's consistently zero. FYI. (Beta1b)

[Preview] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.11 with DNS over TLS

Does DoT prevent ASUS from snooping on DNS traffic? (I'm assuming here, perhaps wrongly, that ASUS services have this privilege. I don't know that for certain, and I understand they are closed source).

[Preview] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.11 with DNS over TLS

Apologies if this is a dumb question, but it has got me curious. When using DoT and a VPN, does the DNS query originate from my VPN or my ISP? Just curious.

[Preview] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.11 with DNS over TLS

I ended up having to use "Disabled." Otherwise, my VPN would use Cloudflare with DoT inconsistently (would randomly start using my VPN DNS again per dnsleaktest.com and cloudflare-dns.com/help/). I'm not able to use DNSSEC and DoT at the same time. (Alpha 3)

[Beta] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.10 Beta is now available

I'm unable to locate the filter fields. FYI.

[Release] FreshJR Adaptive QOS (Improvements / Custom Rules / and Inner workings)

Does this new release require any special tweaking for VPN clients like the previous release? Thanks!

[384.9_Alpha - builds] Testing all variants.

RT-AC1900P on Alpha 3---Upon boot all clients (16) show up, but quickly all disappear form the Network Map except for the manually assigned ones. Connectivity is fine. They just don't show up (they are available under "offline client list" on the DHCP tab.)

RT-AC86U - VPN company have advised switching to Merlin - advice pls.

Did you specifically add clients to your configuration?

[Release] FreshJR Adaptive QOS (Improvements / Custom Rules / and Inner workings)

Just a quick gut check here (I'm an English major; please be kind!) Here are the custom rules I set up per the instructions as I understand them. I chose 192.168.1.128/29 as my range of tunneled IPs, which should give me 192.168.1.128 - 192.168.1.135, or eight VPN device IPs. Is that correct? I...

[Beta 384/NG] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.5 Beta is now available

RT-AC1900P running Beta 1. My home automation power outlets are still unavailable from WAN side. Additionally, it seems I'm unable to add rules to port forwarding. After I hit "apply" they just disappear. Any help here would be appreciated.

    [Preview 384/NG] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.5 early test builds

Possible bug on RT-AC1900P running Alpha 3: When router is rebooted VPN client will not use "Exclusive" DNS on start. If you cycle the VPN client off and on, it will.

    [Preview 384/NG] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.5 early test builds

I didn't do anything differently. Never had to configure any firewall rules before. Just now my five power sockets are not visible from the WAN side anymore. I'll wait to see if this gets resolved in another build before I try to fix it myself.

    [Preview 384/NG] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.5 early test builds

Running Alpha 3 on RT-AC1900P. Just noticed my home automation outlets are no longer accessible if I am not on wifi/LAN. Tried rebooting. They still say offline, but they are not. Was there a change in the firewall that might affect this? Thank you.

    [Preview 384/NG] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.5 early test builds

Alpha 2 seems to no longer respect the "exclusive" DNS setting for my VPN clients on my RT-AC1900P. It's leaking to the WAN DNS. UPDATE: Manually ran dnsmasq on router using terminal. Works now.

    [Preview 384/NG] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.5 early test builds

RT-AC1900P running Alpha 2. Just had an odd thing happen. Core 1 was stuck at 100%. Rebooted via UI and same thing, except now it wouldn't show a WAN IP (DSL modem in bridge mode). Hardware reboot fixed it.

[Beta 384/NG] Asuswrt-merlin 384.4 Beta is now available

Possibly unrelated to the beta but posting here because it just happened. RT-AC1900P running Beta3. This morning router was frozen, SSIDs were broadcasting but couldn't connect. All lights were stuck on. Rebooted and logged in. Poking around I saw that "Enable Web Access from WAN" was, in fact...
