[Beta 384/NG] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.3 Beta is now available

RT-AC1900P - On the Adaptive QOS/Bandwidth Monitor tab, the dials are reporting opposite traffic, i.e., up is down.

[Beta 384/NG] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.3 Beta is now available

Solid on RT-AC1900P. Had VPN issue with Alpha 3. Haven't tried to replicate yet.

    [Preview] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.3 pre-release test builds

AC1900P running 384.3_alpha3-g0462c71. Wired smart TV keeps trying to go through one of the running OpenVPN clients. Never been a problem before. I have to manually set a rule for WAN for each OpenVPN client. Using strict policy rules. UPDATE: Only seems to be an issue when trying to run three...

[Beta 382] Asuswrt-Merlin 382.2 Beta is now available

Possible minor bug. 382.3_Alpha1 running on ASUS RT-AC1900P. When logged in, it won't log you out per the timer setting. It's happened twice now across different devices. I have it set to 20 minutes. Still logged in hours later. FYI.

[Beta 382] Asuswrt-Merlin 382.2 Beta is now available

382.3_Alpha1 running fine on ASUS RT-AC1900P. 25 clients with several running through OpenVPN client. Adaptive QOS enabled with manual settings and fq_codel. EDIT: I have a 1900P, not a 68. Was sleepy when I typed it.

[Beta 382] Asuswrt-Merlin 382.2 Beta is now available

RT-AC1900P - On my client list all the 5Ghz clients are displaying the wired icon. 2.4Ghz clients are correctly displayed. I usually have 20-25 devices connected at the same time. FYI.

[Beta 382] Asuswrt-Merlin 382.2 Beta is now available

RT-AC1900P - Samba transfer speeds seem a bit slower. Was getting 4MB/s. Now 3.3MB/s. Same machines. Both on 5Ghz. EDIT: I had updated from latest Merlin release, FYI.

[Beta 382] Asuswrt-Merlin 382.2 Beta is now available

So far so good with my weirdo RT-AC1900P. :) OpenVPN working fine. No factory reset needed.

[Beta 380] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.69 Beta is now available

Working fine on RT-AC1900P. VPN client running with no issues.

    Bonded DSL on RT-AC1900P

This makes sense. I misunderstood how bonded DSL works. It's not load balancing with dual WAN at all, then. Thank you.

    Bonded DSL on RT-AC1900P

My ISP has a deal on bonded DSL, which would effectively double my current speeds up and down. Would I be able to continue to use my RT-AC1900P as my router, presumably in dual WAN mode? I am currently running my DSL modem in bridge mode with it, and it works very well. Thank you for any...

[Beta] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.66 Beta is now available

Thank you for fixing this. This is a perfect example of the value you bring to the community with your efforts. Much appreciated.

    "WAN Packet Overhead"/QOS question

RT-AC1900P Router. Question: If I have already set my upload bandwidth at a fraction of the maximum bandwidth using Traditional QOS, is there any other benefit to enabling the "WAN Packet Overhead" feature? I'm running ADSL in bridge mode, with a 12/768k connection. .55Mb/s seems to work well...

[Beta] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.66 Beta is now available

Agree completely. That's where QOS is critical. I hope this is not the case.

[Beta] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.66 Beta is now available

I am now unable to enter a value less than 1 in the upload bandwidth field for QOS. I have a 768k upstream connection. RT-AC1900P router running Beta 3. It worked before....

[Beta] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.66 Beta is now available

Seems to work fine on RT-AC1900P. OpenVPN client is working. One new warning in log: WARNING: --ns-cert-type is DEPRECATED. Use --remote-cert-tls instead. I removed that flag (had both) from the config, and the message is gone. I will continue to test.

Adaptive QOS and higher buffer bloat - AC1900P

Follow up....If I have already set the MTU value at the router level using ping tests for fragmentation, do I stlll need to enable 'WAN packet overhead" in the QoS settings?

Adaptive QOS and higher buffer bloat - AC1900P

Thanks for replies. I should have searched a little harder. New to the "adaptive" thing and wanted to know if that was normal.

Adaptive QOS and higher buffer bloat - AC1900P

Been playing with the Adaptive QoS feature on my newish AC1900P, which wasn't available on my old N66U. With adaptive QoS on, I'm seeing upload buffer bloat from 800->1000ms. When I use the manual settings in "traditional QoS" mode, it stays 20-100ms (in the "green" using dslreports speedtest)...
