Netgear RAX120 - Available in Limited Quantities

Of course, but I did put one in my cart and progressed all the way to "Place you order" just to make sure. I also just read over at Netgear that at least one person did place an order and already received shipping info.

    Custom firmware build for R7800 v. 1.0.2.65SF

I converted some home videos (media files) from .m2ts to .mkv awhile back. I did something wrong (unique, unexpected, uncommon) in the command I used. Folks way smarter than me over at ffmpeg said I’d have to use 3.4.6 or newer to watch them. That said, no rush. Wait for the next release please.

It’s because you added the ffmpeg 3.4.6 update lol

    Custom firmware build for R9000 v. 1.0.4.29HF/1.0.4.29HF-HW

@Voxel I'm running into some playback issues with some media files I created several months back. I'm told ffmpeg v3.4.6 is needed to address the errors. Would you try to fit in an upgrade to ffmpeg with your next firmware release please? Thanks

News NETGEAR Announces Tri-Band AX RAX200 Router

I have just over 100 devices on my network. Everything from gaming consoles and smart phones to IoT devices and printers. I haven't counted the exact number of wireless devices in awhile, but there is not a single consumer Netgear router that can handle them all... wireless crashes, router...

Netgear Jaguar (Nighthawk X12) AX6000 Wireless Router

It's not. That information came in the form of an email. I got one just like it (or very similar) over a month ago. I'm a Netgear beta tester (not for this product though), so I try not to disclose anything I shouldn't (according to long, detailed NDA I signed). I didn't know if this fell into...

News NETGEAR Announces Tri-Band AX RAX200 Router

One of my biggest complaints with Netgear routers is that they simply can't handle very many wireless devices/clients even with the better, more powerful hardware. IMHO Netgear's official stance of only handling 32 devices/clients per band is getting old and just plan ridiculous. I realize they...

News NETGEAR Announces Tri-Band AX RAX200 Router

I’ve been reading up on the Netgear RAX80 and RAX120. Based on the info from the product datasheets, the Netgear website, anandtech (source: Netgear, but could be wrong of course), etc here is what I’ve come up with. It seems the Qualcomm-based RAX120 is actually using the IPQ8078 (2.2 GHz...

    Custom firmware build for R9000 v. 1.0.4.27HF/1.0.4.27HF-HW

One last piece of information. The very next log entry always begins with a "0", but only to the very next log entry. For example: [DHCP IP: 192.168.75.10][Device Name: HL-5170DN] to MAC address xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx, Friday, March 08, 2019 12:28:28 0[DHCP IP: 192.168.75.10][Device Name: HL-5170DN]...

    Custom firmware build for R9000 v. 1.0.4.27HF/1.0.4.27HF-HW

@Voxel I believe I have found a bug in R9000-V1.0.4.27HF-HW. I noticed my log was full of errors stating emails couldn't be sent to my email address. I verified all the email settings were correct in the GUI. Then attempted to send the logs to my email address, but it simply created additional...

    Custom firmware build for R9000 v. 1.0.4.27HF/1.0.4.27HF-HW

Hi Voxel, I have been running your firmware on my R9000 for a few days now. I have found it to be quite stable, and I have noticed each CPU now levels out around 5% each vs 10-11% with the stock firmware. I have used DD-WRT in the past on other routers. Although I liked all the cool bells and...

Guest Network Supported in Access Point Mode?

Forgot to mention that we have three Linksys E4200 routers in bridge mode (really access point mode) in use right now. Unfortunately, we can't get the guest network functionality to work in our setup which these particular routers. Devices can connect to the SSID, the login page opens up, but...

Guest Network Supported in Access Point Mode?

As the title suggests, does this router support a guest network when the router is used strictly as an access point? Some details that might help determine if this router would work for us: Right now we have a small business class Cisco SA540 router that connects to our cable modem and...

    Please Review Cisco SA540 Router

We have been very impressed with the latest Beta firmware for the SA540. It is version 2.2.0.3_1, and the final build is due to go GA in mid-September. It has proven to be extremely stable in our very demanding SMB environment. I sure hope you get one to review. It would be a shame to not...

    Please Review Cisco SA540 Router

Great. I appreciate it. FYI, Cisco is planning on releasing another major firmware maintenance release for the SA500 Series routers the 3rd week of September. We are Beta testing it right now (version 2.2.0.3_1). We have only been running it in production for 2 days now, but we have...

    Please Review Cisco SA540 Router

I like your methodology for reviewing routers. You are consistent, thorough, and if you were to review it folks could easily compare it to the other routers you have reviewed. Also, I think the SA540 is a now solid router. Although it had a rough start, it's now had four or five major...

    Please Review Cisco SA540 Router

SmallNetBuilder has reviewed just about every (if not all) Cisco/Linksys consumer and small business routers except for the SA500 Series routers. I would like to see the SA540 reviewed. We have an SA540 in production right now and it has been solid. Previously we had an RV220W and before...
