AIMesh no DHCP Guest when on nodes (intranet disabled)

NAT acceleration might be the gremlin causing the intermittent issues with the AiMesh guest network https://www.snbforums.com/threads/asus-aimesh-guest-network-issues.72955/post-783138

    Asus AIMesh Guest network issues

I have found that NAT acceleration causes the problem with the guest network not connecting with 'access intranet' disabled Switching NAT Acceleration to "disable" under http://router.asus.com/Advanced_SwitchCtrl_Content.asp solved the problem at least for me

    DDWRT/OpenWRT/Tomato on TM-AC1900

Exactly, 376.1703 would allow me to flash an unlocked cfe via ssh. Plenty of useful info on ddwrt forum thread http://forum.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=268581

    DDWRT/OpenWRT/Tomato on TM-AC1900

Anyway I managed to downgrade my 2 cellspot routers to 1703 (Thanks @Ronald Schwerer @Grisu). All I needed to do is press 3 buttons (Reset/WPS/Wifi) when powering on, & just keep pressing the reset while flashing. In the process: - No illegal activities were engaged. - No EULA's violated. - No...

    DDWRT/OpenWRT/Tomato on TM-AC1900

Unfortunately it is on 376.3199... That's why I posted here. I just didn't expect the red tape (& reasoning behind it)

    DDWRT/OpenWRT/Tomato on TM-AC1900

Shouldn't be a dilemma. Requesting guidance to either: Downgrade to firmware TM firmware 1703 to enable SSH (nothing unethical in this) or Find an alternative way to flash DD-WRT (eg hex edit similar to my old D-link) No need to step into "red-tape" RT-AC68U conversion for flashing DD-WRT once...

    DDWRT/OpenWRT/Tomato on TM-AC1900

I still have an old D-link DIR-615 which in order to install DD-WRT I had to do a hex edit (to beat manufacturers lock) If I still had manufacturer's D-Link firmware it would probably be part of VPNfilter's army of zombies. Is this the path SNB is trying to enforce on this router?

    DDWRT/OpenWRT/Tomato on TM-AC1900

Try asking Apple/Dell/HP how to install Ubuntu. Only a crazy CEO guy from SCO would say installing linux is illegal (He thought SCO owned linux)

    DDWRT/OpenWRT/Tomato on TM-AC1900

Not really relevant (I don't really care for ASUS stock). I just want to install DD-WRT, & the firmware upload is failing through stock.

    DDWRT/OpenWRT/Tomato on TM-AC1900

I am asking this question here because I have always had the impression that this forum is more geared towards broader discussions involving networking. (The DD-WRT forums would focus on DD-WRT issues, the linksys/tomato, on their firmware issues, let alone the OpenWRT/LEDE etc) I don't think...

    DDWRT/OpenWRT/Tomato on TM-AC1900

Why would it be illegal??? Should be as legal as installing Linux on a Windows or Apple PC...

    DDWRT/OpenWRT/Tomato on TM-AC1900

I'm on TMO 3.0.0.4.376 _ 3199 at the moment, so no telnet/ssh, flashing ddwrt & tomato .trx images always fail on both WebGUI & CFE miniWEB... Any ideas what I might be missing?

    DDWRT/OpenWRT/Tomato on TM-AC1900

Long time lurker, first time poster on these forums. I recently picked up a couple of refurbished TM-AC1900 from Amazon. Any easy way to flash anything (apart from stock TM firmware) on these? Not really interested in AiMESH or ASUS firmware (at this point anyway), but I would like access to...
