    ASUS Dual-WAN Routing Rules

I love the Microtik's! I suspect anyone who is on these forums would be game for their wonky GUI's, which is rather utilitarian and reminiscent of a long-forgotten Eastern Block era :)

[Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374.43 LTS releases (Archive)

Sorry for the noob question, but will switching from the L-versions to the E-versions overwrite my modded CFE on the AC68U, or can I go back and forth? What if I go to the higher level Merlin version 380.xx and beyond? Can I go back-and-forth or at what point will my CFE be overwritten? I'm...

[N66U] DFS channels missing in Merlin-Fork

I hope I'm not hijacking the thread, but does anyone know what the following configurations in nvram mean? Incidentally googling: Q2 country code, did not come up with much. admin@RT-N66R:/tmp/home/root# nvram show | grep country wl0_country_code=Q2 wl0_country_rev=32 wl_country_rev=32...

    ASUS Dual-WAN Routing Rules

Thanks, gents! I'm not sure I can afford it right now. It's odd that Dual WAN seems to be so hard to implement...

Did you find additional configuration information? Or does no one really do this?

A current (i) monitor on these builds would be useful, if possible -- temperature is a useful metric except differences should be calculated from the ambient. What is the typical medium load temp differential?

Access to devices / appliances on both private & guest SSID

Great to see it's on its way; John initiated the feature request so maybe it'll even be built into a future build w/o manual install of jffs scritps. Surprised it was only requested so recently.

Access to devices / appliances on both private & guest SSID

Running Merlin-John [Fork] (version 374.43_2-29L2j9527) on an RT-AC68U and want a specific Chromecast device, Sonos speakers, and a media server to be accessible simultaneously by both guest and private WiFi networks, but where guest clients cannot access computers, tablets, phones, etc...

How to use Asus RT68U usb storage as a Sonos source

I came here looking for an answer. Too bad, this remains unanswered. I set up a DNLA source, but I cannot access the USB drive connected to the router. I've power-cycled the router / ASUS speakers / etc, suggested on another thread. No dice.

How to use a different subnet for WiFi guest network?

Were you able to resolve your problem? Would be nice to simply set an nvram variable.

Although now there is a discrepancy in what is reported on the web interface, even though the networks are broadcasting and functioning as desired. See image.

[Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374.43 LTS releases (Archive)

In closing the loop here: A "Factory default" restore, and then a 'mtd-erase2 nvram' for good measure, and afterwards uploading my nvram.CFG file and JFFS partition from before the restore WORKED and required minimal effore. Now I have open guest wifi and WPA2-AES on both 2.4GHz and 5.0GHz. I...

[Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374.43 LTS releases (Archive)

OK, yeah, a bit of a harsh solution that I was trying to avoid. I'll try to save my configuration file, factory-reset, and then upload the config file. It'll be a pain to set up my static DNS, reregister some devices like SONOS audio players, etc. I'd really like to know what NVRAM settings...

[Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374.43 LTS releases (Archive)

Hello Colin, I’m not sure since I don’t see the option to broadcast for the guest SSID’s, but my main networks are visible. I’ve also tried to add the ‘GuestWiFi’ SSID manually, but my clients do not register.

[Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374.43 LTS releases (Archive)

My open guest WiFi networks do not seem to broadcast. I upgraded from 26E3 to 29L2 hoping that would help, but neither my 2.4GHz or 5GHz show their SSID (GuestWiFi). Adding some addition details of the config, in case that helps: ASUSWRT-Merlin RT-AC68U_3.0.0.4 Sat Dec 9 21:49:46 UTC 2017...

    Splash Page for Guest WiFi

Greetings fellow Merlin's, Forgive me if this has been asked -- but is there a way to set up a guest wifi so that a website automatically opens when a client connects through the router's guest network? Ideally this could be on all devices -- laptops, phones, tablets, etc. At some point, we...

Traffic monitoring I'm using the latest (version 4) of the fork. Is anyone else have trouble viewing the Wired traffic and speed? Nothing shows except the the bounding box of the graph and the vertical and horizontal axes. Wireless traffic on both 2.4GHz and 5.0GHz display beautifully.
