RAX200 needs frequent reboots to route between wired and wireless on local LAN

I did the factory reset when I installed the newest firmware (V1.0.5.126_1.0.65). It apparently worked flawlessly for a few weeks after that, but degraded to the original problems since then. I'll boot my 3D printer computer (uses wireless), and my phone won't be able to access the web page to...

RAX200 needs frequent reboots to route between wired and wireless on local LAN

Nah, there is no hope. After a while it is back to the old randomly no route between devices only fixed by reboot.

RAX200 needs frequent reboots to route between wired and wireless on local LAN

Update: Just last night I saw a new 1.0.5 firmware available, so I downloaded it, and this morning my phone was able to see my 3D printer, so not a large sample size yet, but hopeful.

RAX200 needs frequent reboots to route between wired and wireless on local LAN

Should I just schedule a daily reboot on this thing? I constantly find things like (today) my desktop not seeing my wireless epson all-in-one device, or my phone not being able to see the web server on the computer that I use to run my 3D printer. Rebooting the router (when I think to do it)...

    Is my ASUS RT-AC5300 dying?

The ac class wireless works great, but I have more and more problems getting older devices that don't have ac to have reliable wifi connections. Should I try setting up separate SSIDs for different wifi bands instead of using it in the "you automagically figure it out" mode? Is there any kind of...

Can I use wildcards in dnsmasq?

I don't want to prevent updates forever, I just want to make sure they only happen when I'm ready for them. The last time I was doing my taxes, I went out to lunch and came back to spinning circles telling me not to touch the machine. Aaugh! I think I remember reading about being able to attach...

Can I use wildcards in dnsmasq?

I'd like to be able to prevent all windows updates inside my local network, and since everyone is pointing at my merlin based router, that seems like a great place to block lookups of all the names mentioned in https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb693717.aspx, but they use wildcards for...

Blocking Windows 10 update on the router?

Anyone have any convenient scripts I could run in the command line (or even connect to buttons in the gui somehow) to block and unblock all the IP addresses associated with windows update? Since Microsoft won't let Windows 10 home edition users prevent updates, I thought it might be possible to...

    Moca 2.0 bonding and RT-AC5300?

The more I think about this, the more I believe the line about needing a router that supports moca 2.0 bonding was really some silly marketing guy's attempt to say "needs a router that supports gigabit speed", and certainly the RT-AC5300 is a gigabit router.

    Moca 2.0 bonding and RT-AC5300?

I'm reading about a Moca 2.0 bonding adapter, and the product info says the router must have support for bonding. This confuses me greatly because only one ethernet cable is being plugged into the router, so I have no idea where the bonding support comes in. But aside from that, does the...

DNS slows down after up too long?

Or maybe it really is the web site. It has already started happening again after just 1/2 hour or so. I'll have to remember to check it at work tomorrow on a completely different network and see if I see the same thing.

DNS slows down after up too long?

I have an asus RT-AC5300 with 380.59 merlin firmware. It was up and running continuously for a few weeks, with mostly no problems, but then I started noticing that on some sites (in particular http://www.npr.org/sections/news/) it would load the text instantly and the images would sometimes take...
