    Yes , it looks like the same problem. Resetting the ax88 did not work. Will try resetting the WAN later on.

    Dirty flash coming from 386.1_2. No internet connection after the flash. Reverted back to 386.1_2 and internet connection works normally. I'll skip this beta 1 AX-RT88U router and AX-RT58U node on (42075)

    My setup is AX88U as router and AX58U as ethernet backhauled node, I can confirm all of the above observations on AI Mesh, Slower VPN speed and Smart connect. Also on my 'regular' network, most devices (>95%) remain associated the the router. Even those close to the node.

    Today my AX88 received 3.0.0.4.386.41249 via the regular update channel. I guess this is a newer version than the RC version that is distributed in this thread?

    @prosperot Have you tried clearing NVRAM and setting it up as new for 9.0.0.4.386_40018 firmware? PM me for settings. Well, thanks for the help. I did that last evening... This morning my AX88U was frozen again... This time the log was filled with these error messages: Sep 24 08:44:55...

    Agree, this is hardly a Release Candidate version.... Lots of reboots on my AX88U. Not making my family very happy with this version...

    Lots of reboots on the 5 version of RC2 on my AX88U (using an AC68U as aiMesh node). Version 4 was much more stable. Log is showing no reason for the reboot. It 'just' happens. And it happens at least 5 times per day (if not more that I am unaware of). Log example of a reboot today at 19:06:03...

    Took the plunge with my 86U and 68U node... The webUi is a bit slow, but all works great and AiMesh 2.0 is a bless!

    Flawless dirty upgrade on my 86u to 384.19B1, coming from 384.18. All settings and OpenVPN certificates survived the upgrade. Only thing I ran into is that afterwards my Nest Hello had lost Wifi connection and would not reconnect automatically. But after a new wifi search on the Nest...

    Server cert doesn't match exported .ovpn cert

    I am experiencing the same problems on my 86U on the .18 version of Merlin. Coming from Asus stock, where I did not have this issue, I guess it is related to the Merlin implementation of openVPN ?

    Yes it is. Thanks for putting me on track to that thread. Obviously a bug that isn't solved in the .18 final .. Coming from Asus stock, where I did not have this issue, I guess it is something in the Merlin implementation of open VPN?

    On my 86U the openVPN seems to freeze showing this message: Initialinzing the settings of OpenVPN server now, please wait a few minutes to let the server to setup completed before VPN clients establish the connection. This message does not go away unless I reboot my router.

    Asus and regional wifi settings are not a very good combination. You can not change the country setting of a router. And many have country code E0 ('Europe') Mine also came with country code E0, and in this setting channel 149 is only available when the router is not in 80Mhz mode.

    Well I just want to set my router to its proper country code instead of E0. But if that is considered hacking, then I guess the whole discussion on country codes could be considered ' hacking'. Just forget the question and lets go back to topic: 384.18 alpha...

    I can set a country code in nvram but after a reboot this is reset to E0, any way around this?
