    WiFi 7 has been certified.

I am expecting WiFi 7 to be an improved or refined WiFi 6E with more features. Just like WiFI 6E was a bit like the 2nd gen of WiFI 6. I am hoping we finally see working OFDMA. MLO will likely only be usable with WiFi 8. BTW is MLO a mandatory feature for WiFi 7? I mean china are already...

RT-AC86U intermittently but constantly dropping Internet Connection

Same problem here. Unfortunately I am on AC56S which means I cant even get Merlin.

2023 Smartphones To Get Wifi 7 Support. TP-Link Announces Wifi 7 Routers

I am more worried about what type of WiFI 7 will we get? Which features are mandatory? Or they are in Spec but in reality wont be be shipped or turned on? ( Much like what happened in 802.11ac and 802.11ax ). Multi-Link Operation.

    GT-AXE11000 hits the FCC

OK, After multiple enquiry, somehow, out of no where Xiaomi decide to remove all mention of WiFI 6E from their AX6000 Router information page. [1] ( Note: In Chinese ) And instead refers it to WiFi 6 "Enhanced" ( In Chinese as well ). So it is no longer "WiFi 6E". ( If you search Xiaomi AX6000...

    GT-AXE11000 hits the FCC

Well the good thing about AX210 is Intel specifically list 6Ghz as being supported on its spec page. UnLike some other 6E products. https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/products/docs/wireless/wi-fi-6e-ax201-module-brief.html

    GT-AXE11000 hits the FCC

Thank You, I asked the same question in many other places and really no one seems to care. Unfortunately those documents are not publicly available so I couldn't get to the bottom of it. Unlike say USB 4 Spec Sheet And of course, it could also be Xiaomi just decide to use WiFi 6E terminology...

    GT-AXE11000 hits the FCC

This isn't so naming trick like you mention. They actually said WiFi 6E. Launched only a few days ago. https://forum.openwrt.org/t/adding-openwrt-support-for-xiaomi-ax6000-wifi-6e/83566 https://gizmonova.com/xiaomi-mi-router-ax6000-a-router-wi-fi-6e-service-for-92/ And as far as I am aware...

    GT-AXE11000 hits the FCC

Can a WiFi 6E be Certified without the support of 6Ghz ? Xiaomi just announced a WiFi6E router. And doesn't seems to be certified with 6Ghz in any region. ( China hasn't even opened their 6Ghz Spectrum )

Does OFDMA Really Work? Part 1

Any idea why they keep doing that? One reason I kind of wanted Qualcomm's MuLTEfire is that it simply works. Not sure if they have plan for 5G version of that.

News Game On for Wi-Fi 6E

Still waiting for other region's announcement. Looks like 2021 at the earliest if we are talking about World Wide roll out.

    6 GHz Wi-Fi Gets Closer

As far as I know both UK and Europe has 500Mhz planned in the 6Ghz for release in similar time frame as US. Does anyone have any info with other region, Canada, China, South Korea, Japan, Hong Kong etc. Couldn't find any information on those.

    Asus RT-AX56U $130

I may be wrong, but I think they are clearing first gen AX product and be ready to launch WiFi 6E soon.

Broadcom Announces Wi-Fi 6E Mobile Device

Wow, last month when they announce WiFI 6E I posted I was hoping they use the opportunity to enforce ( Fix ) all the missing pieces in the initial WiFI 6 roll out, turns out that was exactly that ( On paper at least ). Now there is a whole new marketing incentive to push WiFI 6E. iPhone...

What's Missing From Your Wi-Fi 6 Router? OFDMA

I remember we had a discussion about this on SNB sometime in 2018 or even ealier, where the Draft status was riddled with comments not fixed. And they had no intention of fixing it while trying to force their way through final draft. I posted something similar in other forums and all I got was...

News NETGEAR Announces $200 AX Router, Finally Lets You Buy RAX120

2x2 2.4Ghz and 2x2 5Ghz , 1 USB port Compared to the others which has 4x4 2.4Ghz + 4x4 / 8x8 5Ghz Antenna along with 2 USB 3.0 Port. Also missing MU-MIMO from the Spec sheet, since this is a 2x2 Router I guess it wouldn't matter anyway. My only wish is that all router start bundling at...

Can we expect both 802.11ax and 802.11ay in 2019?

Just checked Draft 4.0 had 500+ Comment resolved, and we will be getting Draft 5.0 in March. It is nice they are not forcing any of these Draft status due to commercial pressure. They intend Draft 5.0 to be final draft but then who knows... we have been hearing this long enough. And hardware (...

Netgear Jaguar (Nighthawk X12) AX6000 Wireless Router

Well the SD 855 supports Ax already, so I wont be surprised if all the Flagship Android Phone next year has AX support. But by client I was thinking in the line of Dongle, USB receiver etc. I thought it would make sense to ship them alongside with routers. But I guess as Kill has said, they are...

Netgear Jaguar (Nighthawk X12) AX6000 Wireless Router

What is delaying the launch of AX Clients? Surely if they can have draft Router they could also do Draft client.

Broadcom launches new Wi-Fi 6 802.11ax chips aimed at repeaters and Mesh nodes

I can't wait to see this being tested by SNB. And why is it none of the announced AX product support 802.11 ax on 2.4Ghz band?
