Potential problem RT-AC68U (originally TM-AC1900) and WiFi driver 6.37.14.126

Where did you download iperf? I googled and saw so many download sites. And how do you run the test? Thank you!

Potential problem RT-AC68U (originally TM-AC1900) and WiFi driver 6.37.14.126

I read about these long time ago A lower beacon interval increases use of airtime (and decreased throughput because of increased competition for the signal). Increasing this interval can have a great impact on Wi-Fi performance...

    [Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.68 is available

I have LTS 374.43 v27E5 on three AC-RT68U. Each has about 25 devices on them, 40GB data used per day, no problem so far. Things are also very smooth on my AC3100 on Merlin 380.68 which has more than 35 devices, 50GB used/day. I factory-resetted them all before and after flashing new firmware...

    [Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.68 is available

Upgraded my AC-3100 from 380.66_4 to 380.68 last night. I feel like the whole wireless network is much more stable. CPU temperature is low as well (60 oC, dropped from 7x oC iirc). Thank Merlin for the hard work!

    User NVRAM Save/Restore Utility (R26.2)

Thanks guys! I think the USB stick might be the problem. I used 3 other freshly formatted USB (NTFS) on 3 other routers without any issue.

    User NVRAM Save/Restore Utility (R26.2)

Thanks! I do have jffs partition but it was empty. Thanks John! I used a 2.0 USB stick on FAT32. After waiting for more than 30mins, I used Ctrl + C to get out as I couldn't take it anymore J I then tried your script on a AC68U router with another 2.0 USB stick (FAT32) and it only took...

    User NVRAM Save/Restore Utility (R26.2)

@john9527 : how long does it usually take to finish the backup process? I ran your script and it's still working after like 10 minutes. Should I continue waiting? Thanks! Edit: I don't have either a jffs partition or a custom script

    [Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.68 is available

Another basic question: Is it necessary to do "Forget network and reconnect" on clients after major firmware updates? TiA

Sorry if this is a basic question: Is it necessary to unplug the WAN cable from the router during firmware update process? TiA

    [Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.68 is available

Did it stay the same from 380.66 to 380.67 as well? Thank you!

    $9 Router Cooling (RT-AC68U Example)

I don't think this is necessary. Mine has been running at 85-86C for more than 4 years. Not a single problem

[Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.66 is now available

I thought when you turn on traffic monitoring per IP, NAT acceleration will be turned off by default? Edit: RMerlin mentioned it here

[Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.66 is now available

Works fine for me on AC3100 @ 380.66_4. I however turn NAT acceleration off

[Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374.43 LTS releases (Archive)

Hi guys. Please enlighten me! I don't need to update the firmware if I use my AC68U in AP mode, do I?

[Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374.43 LTS releases (Archive)

Thank you again! The router was on #165 without any other channel around. The only 2 other channels I saw were #36 & #48. Changing its channel to #161 fixed the problem. My laptop gets 433 Mbps now

[Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374.43 LTS releases (Archive)

On the wireless log page, suddenly my laptop only shows 86/86 Rx/Tx. It's used to be 433/433. I'm on 5GHz channel at 20/40/80 MHz setting How to fix this? Thank you!
