[Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374.43 LTS releases (Archive)

My Samsung S3 were able to connect to 5 GHz network from AC3100 on Merlin 380.66 but couldn't see other 5 GHz network from AC68U on John's 374.43 v24E (it did see the 2.4 GHz though). What could be the reason? TiA

[Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.66 is now available

Apparently our landlord put some authentication on the network. That authentication link only showed up when I did the factory reset. Upon finishing the authentication, public IP address reappeared on the router WAN. Learn something new today

[Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.66 is now available

Thanks! I put it in Bridge mode myself about a year ago (Ubee DDC2700 U10C038 modem). Since then I have restarted it several times without any issue with IPs. It only happened yesterday after flashing to 380.66 final from Beta 1. I tried the MAC clone trick several times to no avail

[Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.66 is now available

Thanks for the reply! But why would the modem not be in Bridge mode anymore? I didn't touch it at all. And looks like I coudn't login to the modem now

[Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.66 is now available

Thanks Merlin! It works but now my WAN IP address turns from a public to a private one 10.40.1x.xx. How to fix that?

[Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.66 is now available

Thanks Merlin! 1st one to download 380.66 for AC-3100 here After flashing over Ethernet & did the power cycle, the internet light on the AC-3100 turned red. On the Merlin network status page, it shows "Your ISP's DHCP does not function properly" and I can't connect to the internet anymore...

Is there any router can handle multiple internet lines from different ISP?

Combining 3 lines would be ideal for most people but my case is different. I want 3 lines to be independent at all time, no load-balancing, no fail-over. If 1 line has problem, is down or slow, do nothing. Websites and apps I'm using don't like requests coming from multiple IP addresses.

Is there any router can handle multiple internet lines from different ISP?

Thanks guys! There is only limited number of ISPs in my area and 12 Mbps is the highest I can get from them. It's not cheap either, $44.99/month/line. The only good thing is that there is no data cap. Of the 80 devices I have, about 60 of them constantly stream video 24/7 (phones and tablets)...

Is there any router can handle multiple internet lines from different ISP?

This is awesome! Thank you very much for spending time writing all this! It's a little bit over my head now and I will sure need a lot of time to digest all useful information in your post. Time for more research :)

Is there any router can handle multiple internet lines from different ISP?

Great! I didn't know that an AP can actually do that. I have about 80 devices over 3 connections (most of them on 3 separated 2.4GHz channel 1, 6 & 11 atm). Do you think either UAP-AC-LR or UAP-AC-PRO would be able to handle that? I've never owned an Ubiquiti AP/router before.

Is there any router can handle multiple internet lines from different ISP?

Thank you very much! Each of the line I have is only 12 Mbps (it's sad I know :/). So what would be the best value option you would recommend to me? Is there any good 101 tutorial that you're aware of? After reconsidering, I might go with the UAP-AC-LR to save a little bit of money to put on...

Is there any router can handle multiple internet lines from different ISP?

Thank you guys! Sorry for not being clear. I don't have any specific requirement rather than space saving and easy network management: - 3 WANs provide 3 separated subnets into 3 APs - These 3 lines should be independent at all time, no load-balancing, no fail-over. Websites and apps I'm using...

Is there any router can handle multiple internet lines from different ISP?

Thanks for the reply! I will use them as normal internet connection, nothing special. Just want to know if it's possible to use only 1 router for all three + 03 UAP-AC-PRO APs to save space and easier to manage

Is there any router can handle multiple internet lines from different ISP?

I'm using 01 Asus RT-AC3100 and 02 RT-AC68U to handle 3 separated internet connections from 3 different ISPs atm. I'm looking for a router that can handle those 3 lines separately to reduce the footprint of my home network. I'll buy 03 UAP-AC-PRO APs to use with that said router. Just to be...

[alpha] Early preview builds for Asuswrt-Merlin 380.66

Okay even with dynamic IP address, the phone disconnected after just few minutes with Authentication error . Switching to 2.4GHz eliminated the error

[alpha] Early preview builds for Asuswrt-Merlin 380.66

I'm having this strange error: my Samsung S3 had "Authentication error" on 5GHz wifi if I assigned it a static IP address. No error if it used dynamic IP. I assign all devices in my network static IP so there is no chance of having a conflict IP address. Any idea what went wrong? TiA

Random net loss, 5g going down

How much did you pay for the AC5300? If I were you, I would buy an Ubiquiti EdgeRouter X router + an Ubiquiti 802.11ac Dual-Radio PRO AP instead. Better money spent imo

[alpha] Early preview builds for Asuswrt-Merlin 380.66

Alpha 3 is working well on my AC-3100 as well. Having its own binary blobs and wireless driver in this release might be one of the reasons.

[alpha] Early preview builds for Asuswrt-Merlin 380.66

Thank Merlin! I saw this change in the release note. So in all previous versions, AC3100 was using AC88U binary blobs? Provide separate binary blobs and wireless driver for AC3100 as they're not entirely identical to the AC88 ones...
