Get MAC Adresses connected to Access Point

You could ping the ip on whatever interval you were going to check for the mac address. Or you can pull the dhcp lease info, every time a host come up or changes wireless it should issue a dhcp request and register its actual mac and ip in the dhcp server. Or pull the arp table and look for...

Need help in how to set up a proposed network solution

I'm pretty sure that you can't do vlan tagging with most home based routers. You may have better luck looking into doing this with dd-wrt.

https://www.snbforums.com/threads/to-trace-mobile-mac-adress.20022/#post-144831 some homework reading Use the mac addresses in dhcp Login to each device separately the different mac address combination for the device would be irrelevant, you would always get the right one form the device it is...

Thanks Adamm So the only piece of software that i have installed on this was esfileexplorer which is listed under the domain estrongs.com. A whois of estrongs.com shows that it was registered by dns registrar in Xiamen, China. Can't be sure, but if/why esfileexplorer decided to phone home...

Skynet Skynet - Router Firewall & Security Enhancements

So this has me pretty concerned. Its coming from my amazon firetv box destined to china on port 80. Other than the fact that this ip address is for china, i can't gather a lot of anything else. The firetv was sitting next to me and not being used during this time. The ip address does not...

    Advice for multi-AP, multi-SSID setup?

i believe yazifi does some of this.... so if you use yazifi and a second repeater, you can accomplish most of this. Something like this use yazifi to create a guest network on different subnet then connect repeater to guest ssid for iot devices you'd have to play around with it a bit to get...

Skynet Skynet - Router Firewall & Security Enhancements

A lot of vpn endpoints get blacklisted. Try a different endpoint or check debug logs and see which ones are getting blocked and add them to the whitelist.

    Neighbor eero repeater

I assume so, the mac addresses of all three repeaters/devices were from eero. Since i can't see the devices, i can only judge based on the mac addresses the devices are broadcasting.

[ac-68u] not to enable guest wifi at early stage of boot or wifi bringup?

Ok, after re-reading your post, i'm not sure if you are using secondary routers as bridge/repeaters. The info below only applies to that scenario. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The problem is that after initial boot and before the repeater/bridge connects to the main router, it actually responds to the...

    Neighbor eero repeater

Yes, it was the eero. I watched the eero change channels over 10+ times during a 10 minute period. Many times overlapping with my 2.4 ghz channel and the signal being almost the same as the asus repeaters i have in my house. During this time, the latency for my 2.4 ghz wireless went up to...

    Neighbor eero repeater

I only rely on 2.4ghz for devices that don't support true n or ac...like cameras and thermostat. Even the newer cameras i purchased that say they support n only support n over 2.4ghz And trying to keep 2.4ghz up and running and stable now requires constant work and troubleshooting.

Skynet Skynet - Router Firewall & Security Enhancements

Not really, most real sites that you need to use are not hosted in china/russia or use a cdn. I use aliexpress pretty regularly and have china blocked for example. They still get served up through akamai.

    Neighbor eero repeater

:( There are too many devices that still don't support true n or ac p.s. is it still illegal to deauth someone elses signal?

    Neighbor eero repeater

Hi Everyone, So i started to have pretty bad 2.4ghz today and after looking into it found out that some neighbor has setup some 3 or 4 eero repeaters. These repeaters are constantly changing channels and interfering with my 2.4 ghz channels. Its doing the same thing on 5ghz too, but the 5ghz...

    Client List Interfaces Wrong....?

The client map is only good for devices that are directly attached to the router. You are better off looking at the system log wireless in the router and repeater for accurate wireless connection information and arp table for wired devices. It's a limitation of layer 2 networking without...

How To Update Firmware on N66 in Access Point Mode?

if you did not assign as a static ip address to your ap, you will need to look at your dhcp logs and find find the ip address of the access point. The dhcp log is the best place to find the device as you should be able to identify the mac of the device which should be on a sticker on the ap.
