    Custom firmware build for R7800 v. 1.0.2.66SF

Hi Voxel. I think I'm the CA guy. I downloaded 66SF ~15 minutes ago and installed it. Thanks for your constant efforts to improve the 7800 firmware! Go Warriors! Go Sharks!

    Custom firmware build for R7800 v. 1.0.2.65SF

Using 1.0.2.65SF. Not aware of 1.0.2.65.2SF. Previous scores with 1.0.2.64SF were similar. I pay for a 250/250 EPON fiber plan. I've observed that the DSL Speedtest scores are sensitive to the time of day when run and the browser. In my case, chrome works better than Edge. Running Win 10 Pro...

    Custom firmware build for R7800 v. 1.0.2.64SF

Since my 7800 lost its config info (and I had to reconfigure it), it hasn't happened again. I agree with your thinking because if it was a hardware issue, I think it would have happened again by now.

    Custom firmware build for R7800 v. 1.0.2.64SF

I ran the tenet command again: root@R7800:/$ root@R7800:/$ mtd erase netgear Unlocking netgear ... Erasing netgear ... root@R7800:/$ root@R7800:/$ Did not lose the 7800's internal config settings. I then rebooted the router using the reboot button found in Advanced Home - Router Information...

    Custom firmware build for R7800 v. 1.0.2.64SF

I just executed the telnet command you provided. Please see the results below. I presumed the router would lose all config info after executing the command. But my 7800 seems unaffected. I did not restore the saved off config file. Again, my router seems unaffected from executing the command...

Before I do it: Why? Can I restore my 7800 settings using my saved config file?

    Custom firmware build for R7800 v. 1.0.2.64SF

I presume you have to ship your 7800 back before they'll ship you a replacement? I hope they send you a new one, not a refurb. I called Netgear this morning and got a guy in India. I told him how the router lost it's config contents and reverted to out-of-the box factory defaults. He asked me...

    Custom firmware build for R7800 v. 1.0.2.64SF

I started running Voxel's R7800 v. 1.0.2.62SF firmware the day I purchased my router on 12-14-18. I only ran the 7800 factory firmware long enough to install Voxel's firmware. I never even configured the router using the factory firmware. As Voxel released later firmware releases, I installed...

    Custom firmware build for R7800 v. 1.0.2.64SF

My SSID's were gone too. The out-of-the-box SSID was back. It's like the router got reset and initialized to factory defaults except Voxel's firmware was still running. Note, I couldn't login to the router after it "lost its mind" so I had to reset it. To reset it, I disconnected power to the...

    Custom firmware build for R7800 v. 1.0.2.64SF

Running R7800 v. 1.0.2.64SF since the day Voxel posted it. This morning, my internet connection was very flaky and eventually crapped out to my desktop Win 10 computer. I tried to login to the 7800 and could not. I power cycled the router. I was able to login but the 7800 had lost all config...

Voxel Custom firmware build for R7800 v. 1.0.2.62SF

Hi Voxel, I have a R7800 running your latest firmware V1.0.2.62SF. Where does one enable smb in the R7800 GUI? Can the R7800 be the master browser? Background: I have a Win 10 pro desktop. I have smb 1.0 enabled to allow my Oppo 103 & 203 to stream from the music folder on the desktop. A...

Voxel Custom firmware build for R7800 v. 1.0.2.62SF

Makes sense. In fact, using Fing's open port scanner tool, if I use www.google.com as the target, it reports 80 and 443 open. If I use 1.1.1.1 (cloudflare dns) as the target, Fing reports 52, 80, and 443 are open. If I use my own WAN dhcp assigned ip address as the target, Fing reports 22...

Voxel Custom firmware build for R7800 v. 1.0.2.62SF

Yes, my smart phone was connected to the R7800's 5GHz radio. All my internet devices (Win 10 computer, WHS computer, Tivo dvr's, Denon avr, Oppo BD players, FTV Sticks, Canon printer, Samsung smart phones, and my Obi200 voip device) are connected to the R7800. The R7800 port forwarding page...

Voxel Custom firmware build for R7800 v. 1.0.2.62SF

I have a Netgear R7800 running Voxel's latest firmware. I ran two different port scanners from my smart phone. Both port scanners report that ports 80 and 443 are open. (Shields Up reports all ports are in stealth mode which is always a good thing). I have no ports forwarded, uPnP is...
