    Cannot connect to senate.gov

When connecting the PC directly to the modem, you are probably getting a different WAN address since the PC's MAC Address is different. Check at https://www.whatismyip.com/ or a myriad of other sites: https://www.google.com/search?q=what+is+my+ip&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8 Hmm.. Google shows it straight...

Did Asus pull support for the RT- AC56U?

I just looked. They are in the "Others" OS option like the other routers.

    RT-AC68U reporting 1 ghz CPU

I have Rev A2 and nvram get clkfreq shows 800,666.

    RT-AC68U reporting 1 ghz CPU

Merlin's Tools section shows this on mine: CPU Model ARMv7 Processor rev 0 (v7l) - (Cores: 2) CPU Frequency 800 MHz CPU Load Average (1, 5, 15 mins) 0.15, 0.05, 0.06 LOL, just re-read thread.. really didn't need to post this.

    RT-AC68U reporting 1 ghz CPU

I got my RT-AC68U in December 2014 in the USA and it was a rev A2. Made sometime in 2014.

    [Official] RT-AC66U Firmware version 3.0.0.4.378.9533

Look at the "Others" OS choice. I had to do that to find the ones listed for the RT-AC68U.

    ASUS RT-AC68U Firmware 3.0.0.4.380.3264

Yeah, the word "firmware" isn't even in the website's source code.

    Asuswrt-Merlin 380.59 is now available

Put this on my RT-AC68U from beta 2 and so far no problems after 3 days. I did the update with no reset afterwards since everything seemed fine.

ASUS firmware will change the verification method

My guess is the newer firmware scans the file to be uploaded into the router for certain signatures and if they don't meet whatever criteria, halts the installation. Similar to trying to install a firmware for the wrong router or something.

    [Beta] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.59 Beta 2 is available

Yeah, I noticed the firmware sees my Samsung TV as a "Samsung" icon and device initially but at some point thinks it's a Netgear NTV300 device with a different Icon. There is no Samsung icon to change it to. So I downloaded the blue PNG one from here: http://www.iconarchive.com/search?q=samsung...

What DNS do you use with your Asus/Merlin

I use my ISP's (Cox in Oklahoma). Whatever the default is. The only time I used an OpenDNS or something was when there was a clear problem with the ISP's DNS servers. This hasn't happened in several years though.

[380.58 AC68U] Change icons assigned to devices

Yeah, with 380.59 it thinks my Samsung TV is a Netgear device today and yesterday thought it was a Sony device LOL. Don't see any Samsung icons to pick. Does Asus have a stash of icons to upload to it? Not that big a deal, just kind of funny.

[BETA] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.59 Beta 1 is now available

I notice that as well but it appears that what it shows in the chart itself is correct as the apps do change when selecting daily/weekly/monthly.

    [Beta] RT-AC68U Firmware version 9.0.0.4.380.2695

FYI, Merlin has incorporated 380.2697 into his 380.59 Beta 1 firmware: http://www.snbforums.com/threads/beta-asuswrt-merlin-380-59-beta-1-is-now-available.32131/

[BETA] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.59 Beta 1 is now available

Installed on my RT-AC68U and everything seems fine. (I don't have Wireless enabled). I noticed that while the daily bandwidth list is cleared out (which I expected) the Statistics tab kept its info. Where does the Trend Micro statistics store its information? In my case, just CTF is being...

[BETA] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.59 Beta 1 is now available

Factory reset needed if coming from 380.58 on the RT-AC68U or only if something seems off?

Traffic Monitor bug with merlin firmware 380.58 ASUS RT-AC66U

I've seen that numerous times with my RT-AC68U and various ASUS and Merlin firmware versions. It's an odd bug just with the Real-time tab. The 24-hour and daily tabs don't actually record these massive spikes and data transfers. Right now with 380.58 and my RT-AC68U, with CTF Acceleration...

[RT-AC68U] : Way to choose CTF or CTF and FA NAT acceleration?

What's interesting is that now with 380.58, only CTF is being shown as enabled when I turn on NAT acceleration, even after a reboot. It might be related to having the Trend Micro Statistics stuff enabled though. It was showing both CTF+FA until I turned it off so that the Statistics stuff would...

    [Beta] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.58 Beta 1 is available

FYI, this works fine on my RT-AC68U as well as the Export button. Now, I do only have 2 wired clients currently: my PC and TV. Do they show in the Tools section at the bottom?

    [Beta] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.58 Beta 1 is available

Probably so. At least the Traffic Monitoring stuff all works right with it on now. (Daily, 24hour, realtime).
