Beta ASUSWRT 386 RC2 public beta with full functions AiMesh 2.0 (continued)

My second hand (2015) AC68U in mesh node keeps dropping signal. I have factory reset it from the GUI is there any way to clean it up to factory or is this a common problem with 2015 models?

Beta ASUSWRT 386 RC2 public beta with full functions AiMesh 2.0 (continued)

Well that didn't last long. The node disappeared from the mesh and had to reset the node. So re-configured from scratch.

Both. I have a mixture of 2.4 and 5ghz devices.

Beta ASUSWRT 386 RC2 public beta with full functions AiMesh 2.0 (continued)

That's better after adjusting the roaming assistant from -70 to -55 which seems to have balanced my devices out.

Beta ASUSWRT 386 RC2 public beta with full functions AiMesh 2.0 (continued)

So far so good although more clients seem to want to connect to the primary despite optimizing.

Thanks, now await my node to arrive. :)

Beta ASUSWRT 386 RC2 public beta with full functions AiMesh 2.0 (continued)

Does AIMesh tell you which clients are connected to which node I have just bought another AC68U to set up as a node.

Beta ASUSWRT 386 RC2 public beta with full functions AiMesh 2.0 (continued)

Any idea when RT-AC68U is going back to release from the latest beta? I see some retailers have stopped selling.

AC68U seems to "pause" internet connectivity.

I am seeing this on the latest dirty upgrade to the beta mentioned elsewhere. I was running it as an access point and no problems then switched to router mode. No drop of ISP but Alexa streaming audio dropped twice in the space of 10 minutes. Might have to factory reset again and monitor.

    RT-AC68U Syslog entry

syslog: it is advised to use network interface name instead of 192.168.1.1/255.255.255.0 The above appeared in the Syslog of the latest AC68U beta firmware. Anyone know what it refers to or means?

Beta ASUSWRT 386 RC2 public beta with full functions AiMesh 2.0

I meant from the beta and release firmware at the bottom of the page, Manual and Utility Links to blank page.

Beta ASUSWRT 386 RC2 public beta with full functions AiMesh 2.0

Anyone getting a blank page on the support site for the RT-AC68U?

Beta ASUSWRT 386 RC2 public beta with full functions AiMesh 2.0

What kind of ugliness? I have had a couple of disconnects in short succession but it is typically the time of the day when ISPs reboot edge routers.

Beta ASUSWRT 386 RC2 public beta with full functions AiMesh 2.0

Load Balance between Cable and USB modem does not work as expected. 48mbps cable and 30mbps USB modem but resultant speed test is only 56mbps on a wired PC.

Beta ASUSWRT 386 RC2 public beta with full functions AiMesh 2.0

I am seeing a lot of the below screen shot in the log. The MAC is a wired PC.

ASUS AC86U after disable DHCP -- NTP SYNC Error ( VPN won't start)

Is it possible to load balance two routers in this config Colin?

ASUS AC86U after disable DHCP -- NTP SYNC Error ( VPN won't start)

What would the WAN settings be in the scenario?

AC68U routing two routers in Dual Wan mode

I suppose after a little research I was talking about double NAT with 2 routers load balanced on the Asus.

AC68U routing two routers in Dual Wan mode

After a little experimentation it doesn't seem possible as I kept getting IP conflicts and the Asus wanted to move to a different subnet. Hmmm
