AB-Solution - The Ad Blocking Solution

Hey guys, I own a Asus RT-AC87U and I see merlin finally released the 384 FW for my model as well. I'm currently still running legacy FW 380.69 together with AMTM v1.1, AB-Solution v3.11.1 , Skynet v5.8.5 and pixelserv-tls v2.0.1-rc4 I want to bring everything up-to-date, but have no idea how...

AB-Solution - The Ad Blocking Solution

@thelonelycoder, thanks you the fast support and updates related to entware! I'm currently using Medium+ setting as blocking file and was wondering if it also includes no-coin lists as well. Like the adblock no coin list for example (https://github.com/hoshsadiq/adblock-nocoin-list/) to disable...

Skynet Skynet - Router Firewall & Security Enhancements

Ok, thanks for clarifying :) What about my first question? (sorry to overwhelm you with questions :p) When I put something on the whitelist does skynet automatically remove that entry from it's blacklist aswell? Because most domains I add are because skynet blocks them with the autoban feature...

Skynet Skynet - Router Firewall & Security Enhancements

Hi Adamm, Quick question, When I put something on the whitelist does skynet automatically remove that entry from the blacklist aswell? Because most domains I add because skynet blocks them with the autoban feature or is it better practice to unban them with the unban command? I also noticed...

Skynet Skynet - Router Firewall & Security Enhancements

Ok, thank you for pointing that out. Just for the info. What exactly does the autoban feature do? I use the ban malware lists but thats different from the autoban feature right?

Skynet Skynet - Router Firewall & Security Enhancements

Hi Adamm, I've been using Skynet for a week now and i must say thank you for all your hard work and effort. It's running great on my side! I just wonder why there are so many blocked inbound connections? At first I was a bid scared seeing it increase so fast, but after seeing other users output...

    [Release 380] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.69 is now available

I don't know if this is the correct thread to post, since i also experienced this on previous versions of the firmware. Whenever I set my 5ghz wifi channel fixed, it sometimes automatically reverts to channel 36. Could this have someting todo with DFS? In my country (BE) there are weather radars...

Skynet Skynet - Router Firewall & Security Enhancements

Hi all, A couple of days ago I searched for a false positive and 'temporary disabled' skynet to rule it out. I figured out the real cause and now want to turn it back on, but can't seem to find out how to do that. I've read the readme on github, but there doesn't seem to be a 'enable' command...

amtm amtm - the Asuswrt-Merlin Terminal Menu

Thanks for the quick reply and clarification! I like to understand everything and set it up correctly step by step instead of enabling things without knowing what they do. Only thing left todo now is importing the pixelserv CA cert into my clients and then I'ts time to look into Skynet :)...

pixelserv pixelserv - A Better One-pixel Webserver for Adblock

mayb a dumb question, but how do get the CA certs of the router or can I enable SFTP somewhere? The only way I now see it is to power off the router and put the usb key in a linux box. Thanks and happy holidays!

amtm amtm - the Asuswrt-Merlin Terminal Menu

Hi, I just started using ab-solution, amtm and pixelserv-tls and setting everything up with amtm just went flawless. Realy nice job on both amtm and ab-solution! sorry for the newb questions, but I was just wondering two things: 1. do ab-solution, amtm and pixelserv survive a fw upgrade? 2...

pixelserv pixelserv - A Better One-pixel Webserver for Adblock

I don't know if it's asked before, but I'm currently using version: v35.HZ12.Kk compiled: Sep 25 2017 that came with AB-Solution. Can i just update with sh -c "$(wget -qO - https://kazoo.ga/pixelserv-tls/install-beta.sh)" to v2.0.1 or do I wait for an update of ab-solution?

    [Release 380] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.69 is now available

Why are you using a certificate? Cause if you don't have WAN access enabled and don't use you router in a public LAN, you can' just leave out the certificate and access the webUI over http. Unless you are worried of your wife and kids trying to sniff your password :D

    [Release 380] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.69 is now available

Thanks for your reply Merl. Did you test with VPN connected clients? I don't use any custom firewall rules and after some testing it's only the clients connected through the VPN tunnel which have access. The LAN devices do get locked out. When i take a look at iptables there are two relevant...

    [Release 380] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.69 is now available

After some more testing it seems the issue is only present with clients connected thru VPN. In 380.69 when I enable restriction to SSH and webUI only my LAN devices cannot access it. All my clients connected through VPN can. Even though the VPN subnet isn't even in the 'allow specified IP'...

    [Release 380] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.69 is now available

380 firmware doesn't fix krack, only 382 release does. Nevermind, I see RT-N66U and RT-AC66U are fixed in 380. But as @Makaveli said a couple of post before you, the krack fix is only needed if you run your router in repeater/bridge mode.
