Dual WAN - Failover with Teltonika LTE device?

I don't know anything about the RUT950. Can you neuter its routerness and make it act more like a bridge? If so then you can just connect the cable modem to the Asus WAN port, and one of the RUT950 LAN ports to one of the Asus LAN ports (that you set to be the Secondary WAN for dual-WAN). Even...

    SSH tunneling question

Just to debug the problem, I'd consider using a WAN port other than 443. (I understand you may need 443 later for China reasons.) You may have something running on the router listening to 443 on the WAN (such as the admin interface).

Dual WAN Load Balancing Routing Rules Limit in Merlin 384.12

Unfortunately the Dual WAN feature is more or less false advertising by Asus. Failover works under some conditions, but the rest of it is not very functional.

    Vulnerability found in libssh/OpenSSH

I don't think this affects OpenSSH, but it's easy to be confused: Everyone seems to name their library "libssh" and in fact some code projects have shared heritage. In this case "libssh" is not referring to a part of OpenSSH. To be very clear, this does not affect OpenSSH, nor Dropbear. What...

OpenVPN connection without logging in (384.5)?

I'm getting these from throughout 185.200.118.0/24. I also have OpenVPN key auth only (no passwords). It could just be someone scanning port 1194. There was someone in another thread seeing similar connections from 95.57.241.69. Regarding the AF_INET6, I think OpenVPN (on Merlin) claims...

    ASUS AC5300 with Merlin 384.5 100% cpu with 2 5GHz radios

I have the AC5300, and I use Smart Connect with all three bands, and do not have this problem--but I do not (presently) use any guest networks. When you write that you can't communicate with it, have you tried enabling ssh, then sshing in when it is misbehaving? Or does it not respond to any...

    Dual WAN fix

You're correct, dual-WAN is wonky. Failover is sort of working on the RT-AC5300 under 384.4_2, but load-balance causes all outbound web connections to give TLS errors. Note that load-balance was working (okay if not extremely well) under the 380 firmware series. Merlin doesn't touch the...
