    [Thread-1] [ 386.1_Alpha Build(s) ] Testing available build(s)

The new built-in Ookla speedtest is nice. On AC86U the highest result I got is 752 Mbps, while on speedtest.net with the same server I get over 900 Mbps. I guess the hardware in this router is not powerful enough to reach 900 Mbps with the built-in speedtest.

384.18 alpha for AC86U was just uploaded 1 hour ago in onedrive. If OpenNAT icon is missing, clear browser cache.

    ASUS RT-AC86U - NEW - Firmware version 3.0.0.4.384_81792 (14.04.2020)

Maybe it was pulled for AC86U as well because of the below ?

[Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.17 (and 384.13_8) are now available

I will skip this release and wait for 384.18 alpha, based on latest ASUS code for AC86U, so I can test Open NAT.

[Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.16 (and 384.13_6) are now available

On AC56U I always had the option to update the signature even though AiProtection and Adaptive QoS were disabled. But on AC86U it shows up if I enable AiProtection and then disappears if disabled.

    [384.16_Alpha Builds] Testing all variants

Speedtest.net shows the speed in Mbps, while Internet Traffic displays it as MB/s. So, if you are getting 230 Mbps on speedtest, then Internet Traffic should show ~28 MB/s. Works fine for me, I get 496 Mbps on speedtest and 62 MB/s on Internet Traffic.

[Beta] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.15 Beta and 384.13_3 are now available

AC86U upgraded from 384.15_alpha2. I tried uu and r in amtm, logged out and I was still getting errors. Fixed by removing /jffs/addons/amtm with WinSCP.

[Beta] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.67 Beta is now available

Same here with AC56U and a PPPoE connection, feels like hardware NAT is not working, even though it says CTF is enabled. This started with 380.67 alpha 3 when GPL code 380_7743 was merged. Flashed back to alpha 2 and speed is back. Confirmed with ASUS FW...

    Asuswrt-Merlin 380.59 is now available

Not a big deal, but thought I would mention it, maybe RMerlin comes up with something to fix what ASUS broke. Also, people are reporting slower internet speed with 380 and remain on 378.56 because of this. Same for ASUS firmware. The ones affected are those with 1 Gbps connections. Noticed this...

    Asuswrt-Merlin 380.59 is now available

I don't know about 2.4GHz as I keep this radio off, but 5GHz does blink on 378.56 and doesn't blink at all on 380 builds. Tested this today.

    Asuswrt-Merlin 380.59 is now available

Although you fixed the LEDs on AC56U in this release, the entire 380 series still has an issue. The 5GHz wireless LED doesn't blink on activity, it's just solid. The last firmware when it worked is 378.56, I just tested. Something changed starting with 380. The LEDs on the back are not affected...

    [Beta] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.59 Beta 2 is available

How come Smartifi is still not compatible with AC56U? Is this model missing the ASSIA agent or the CloudCheck app simply needs an update to support this router? The app is saying the only supported asus routers are AC3200, AC66R/U/W, AC68P/R/U/W and N66R/U/W.

    [Beta] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.59 Beta 2 is available

Front LEDs on AC56U are off except for power, as charlie2alpha mentioned on beta 1 thread. LEDs on the back are working.

[BETA] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.59 Beta 1 is now available

Could the AC56R or AC56S gpl components work for AC56U? I compared the md5 for the files in "/rc/prebuild" and they are the same for this 3 models. http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/wireless/RT-AC56R/GPL_RT_AC56R_90043802695.zip...

[BETA] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.59 Beta 1 is now available

Ok, I only meant to say the files are there, that they are not missing, except for cfe.o when compared to AC68P GPL. If different or not, I didn't check, I assumed they are the specific ones for this model. So now everything you need is there to make beta 1 for AC56U or something else missing?

[BETA] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.59 Beta 1 is now available

I checked "GPL_RT-AC56U_9.0.0.4.380.2695-g1b222cd.tar" and ".../rc/prebuilt" folder includes the same files as the AC68P GPL, except for cfe.o. While ".../shared/prebuilt" has the same 2 files, private.o and tcode.o.
