    ... I just went to adminstration page, and choose save settings and .... the file gets also saved as .avi extension !

    Yes, it downloads OK with Edge .... and with a brand new install of FF in a VM, it downloads the file as syslog (without any extension !!!)

    ... I do not think so althought I am not sure how W10 could do that ; the file gets downloaded from FF as syslog.avi instead of syslog.txt I am searching on FF fora but did not get any luck so far.

    Thanks for your time. I am not here to blame anybody, just looking for possible true help (other than nuclear reset as soon as something goes wrong or use another thing or simply rename files ... ).

    I do not know for sure. I have several devices configured to accept WOL ; I took the way to send magic packet specifically to one device at a time. If you broadcast to the subnet, don't you think it will wake-up ALL devices that accepts WOL ? ...

    as said by @elorimer , the way to go is via a cron job. To start it every tuesday at 08:00 it should look like: 00 08 * * 2 /jffs/scripts/wake-up-my-server.sh This file has to contain the ether-wake command. Also note that ARP table must have a permanent entry for your server: arp -s ipaddr...

    presumably, you try to access the router GUI via its IP address, what about http://router.asus.com and what is the error message you get ? PS: there seems to be an issue as well with your Let's encrypt certificate ... or with its updating

    what do you mean by "but I can't connect to my router" ? via gui ? via ssh ? what is the IP of your router ? did you performed the laptop test from within the LAN or from "outside" ? what android app are you using ? any chances to get a log file ?
