DNS over TLS still advertising Regular DNS to clients

It's odd though a ipconfig /release and /renew didn't do it though. Should have renewed the lease then. Even rebooting the router didn't renew the leases (DHCP lease table didn't get flushed). I had to disable the adapter completely and re-enable it which seems a bit extreme. Should be a way on...

DNS over TLS still advertising Regular DNS to clients

Ok, so I did that and after a reboot of the router it still had the old lease. It is a Windows 10 Enterprise client on an Ethernet connection. Couldn't tell you it why it did that. So I disabled and re-enabled the Ethernet connection and the client obtained a new lease and has the correct...

DNS over TLS still advertising Regular DNS to clients

Here you go. Now I do have the Connect to DNS Server automatically setting enabled, but the router is not advertising Spectrum's DNS, it's advertising the OpenDNS DNS entries. I also uploaded the ethernet settings I am receiving.

DNS over TLS still advertising Regular DNS to clients

Hello, I am trying to follow the instructions in the Beta thread for the DNS over TLS setup (Instructions weren't copied into release thread) on my RT-AC3100. My internal network is a 192.168.2. network and I had previously had 2 OpenDNS servers in the LAN configuration along-side the...

    IPv6 address in Client List?

Hello, I recently upgraded my AC-66U to a 3100 and am now able to run the latest firmware and feature set, running much better as well. I ran the Merlin 380 firmware in the last one was well. I also have enabled IPv6, and had that enabled in the old router as well, using the built-in DHCP-PD...

    New Asus Router Upgrade Recommendation

I noticed there is also a 1900P version of this router which seems to have a slightly faster processor @ 1.4 GHz vs the 66U_B1. Would this be a viable option? I am also looking as my original model AC-66U MIPS version is getting a little long in the tooth. Peaked the CPU @ 100% downloading on...

    Skynet question

It also slowly takes over all the devices in your house on reboot as well starting with IoT (i.e Thermostats), Phones, PCs, Drones and then spreads until John Connor is able to stop it. .... Oh are we not talking about that Skynet?

    RT-AC66R w/380.69 and HP Color LaserJet M452dn

Sorry been busy with the holidays. Nope, printer IP is the same, I can reach the Printers web page configuration and checked all the settings there as well, nothing new. All the configuration seems correct and my wife is still able to print from her configured settings.

    RT-AC66R w/380.69 and HP Color LaserJet M452dn

Hello, Have an odd scenario. I recently upgraded to 380.69 and from my Windows 8.1 machine, I cannot print any longer to my M452dn. A Test page just says failed to print, and printing from any app seems to send stuff to a void, where the print spool flushes it out quickly but the printer never...

Business Level Mesh Network with Ethernet Backhaul recommendation?

Hello, I posted a thread a while ago here: https://www.snbforums.com/threads/recommendations-to-upgrade-equipment.40531/#post-339770 asking about recommendations for a non-profit. I am still working on doing this, but decided to upgrade their Wired network first. they had Cat5e ports in almost...

    Recommendations to upgrade equipment

Hello, I am doing some IT work for a church and noticed they have a very weird network setup. They have a Buffalo wzr-hp-g300nh (330N) supposedly High-powered router as its primary router (Providing a private WEP access point (Faith). They also have an Amped Wireless High power Wifi-range...

[Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.67 is now available

... Zoltar says your wish is granted ... Seriously though, while I don't speak for Merlin, I would say it could be sometime in 2017, that's a good 6 month Window. We all appreciate what Merlin does and while all of us get excited when a new release comes out, there is no set schedule. he may...

    Link Aggregation Routers

Thanks. From my research it seems the 88U/3100 supports LAP aggregation, where the 5300 supports LACP aggregation. It would be nice if they spelled this out. It also seems like the Netgear G108T support LACP, but need to find a 16 port that does as well.

    RT-AC5300 + GS116Ev2 = Link Aggregation Aggravation

Hello, Sorry for bringing up an old post. But I was looking at the exact same setup when I came across this post. So now I know the RT-AC5300 is what I want for LCAP. The GS108T is an 8 port router though (Noticed it was an GS108Tv2 now), I was hoping to get a 16 port switch to have a little...

    Link Aggregation Routers

According to Asus' web site, it seems the 88U/AC-5300 have this built-in to the standard firmware: https://www.asus.com/us/support/FAQ/1016088/ Since I have a 66U, I don't see the bonding option under Switch Control and was this feature brought forward into Merlin for the routers as well...

    Link Aggregation Routers

All, I have been a long time Merlin user on my AC66U. I tried to configure Link Aggregation once using the wiki thread https://github.com/RMerl/asuswrt-merlin/wiki/Link-Aggregation but it didn't work very well and I couldn't get it stable. I would like to configure this as I am going to...

    RT-AC66R 380.65 w/Ooma Telco connection issues

I have the RT-AC66R router and for the most part it does everything I need it to do and Merlin has extended the functionality and life of this router with newer firmwares. I am running the latest 380.65 firmware with no major issues; however, every once in a while some firmwares cause weird...
