Does the Synology RT6600AX block a particular adult site?

If you have an RT6600AX, could you please carry out my test?

Does the Synology RT6600AX block a particular adult site?

It seems every time I mess around with alternative firmware for my AX86U, I end up with weird problems and always move back to the official firmware. I forgot to mention this originally, but another category that failed basic testing was when I enabled blocking of gambling sites. Vegasworld ...

Does the Synology RT6600AX block a particular adult site?

Thinking about buying a Synology RT6600AX but was wondering something. On my ASUS AX86U (with web/content filtering enabled and the adult category blocked) ..... and when using 3rd party programs.... I'm shocked/surprised that the 'adult' category doesn't block some sites that are obviously...

How to troubleshoot intermittent, slow speeds over the internet?

All this was done by plugging the server at my house directly into the AT&T fiber ONT (bypassing my router) and the backup server at my brother's house was plugged directly intro his Asus GT6 router. The main server and backup server have dual NICs so we tried both.....new cables....nothing...

Any iperf experts in the audience? I was using iperf and iperf3 to my backup server and here's what I was getting: (see attached file)

How to troubleshoot intermittent, slow speeds over the internet?

Nope, when the backup server was on my LAN, I'd max out the 1 gig switch and network cards. I'm using rsync (ssh) to back up to the remote server.

I copied my keys over and followed your advice and disabled password login and changed the key to 2048 RSA. Thanks for the info!

How to troubleshoot intermittent, slow speeds over the internet?

Server A is Debian 12 and is located at my house directly plugged into an ASUS AX86U router. Server B is Debian 12 and is located at my brother's directly plugged into an ASUS GT6 router. I have AT&T 1 gig symmetrical and he has Comcast 1.2 down/35 up. I recently moved my backup server to my...

Question about locking a port forward rule to a source IP

How safe and secure is it to lock a port forward rule to a source IP? I recently moved my backup server to my brother's house and on his Asus router, I opened SSH but locked the source IP to my (static) IP address. Is this fairly safe or should I add a little more security by changing the SSH...

router.asus.com works but not the IP

Authentication mode for both is HTTP. When I access the 1900P, it stays on http. I get the warning about the connection not being secure but accessing it via IP is AOK. Another plot twist..... on my main PC, I only ever used Brave and Firefox to access 192.168.1.1 (whether it was my ASUS router...

router.asus.com works but not the IP

I have a 2nd ASUS router (1900P) that's in Access Point mode and I can use the same browser that fails when going to 192.168.1.1 to access the 1900P on 192.168.1.240 and that loads fine.

router.asus.com works but not the IP

All those options failed. Accessing it via http://router.asus.com/Main_Login.asp works perfectly.

router.asus.com works but not the IP

Yes, all my browsers are redirecting to https://192.168.1.1. Also, I just noticed something..... I spun up a Linux VM workstation image that has never accessed that URL before. Opening up http://192.168.1.1 allows me to access the ASUS GUI! Trying https://192.168.1.1 fails. This is the expected...

router.asus.com works but not the IP

The router was restored from a backup and it's IP is 192.168.1.1. I can ping it and ssh into it.

router.asus.com works but not the IP

For the past few weeks, I was testing out a couple of different firewalls (OPNsense and Untangle mainly) and had my AX86U in Access Point mode. When I was using my AX86U as the router, it was always at 192.168.1.1. When I brought my Dell server online and had OPNsense and Untangle on there, they...

Is UPnP disabled when you put an ASUS router in Access Point mode?

Hopefully that is true in ASUSs' case but on that Reddit post, it sounded like Netgear routers that are in AP mode might still have UPnP running?! But, I'm not using Netgear so I guess I'll proceed. Thanks for the reply!
