    RT-AX68U Availability

No offense but when I look at the forums I rarely see problems posted about the AX68U. I've owned one for months and its rock solid, has great range, runs cooler than any previous Asus router I've owned too..Different strokes for different folks :)

    RT-AX68U Availability

I bought a previously used one on Ebay for $40..I knew it had a problem but since the warranty covers it, I did a trouble shooting session with support. They sent an RMA label and the refurbished unit they shipped also has a problem and I was sent a brand new one in its place. Having upgraded...

    Asus RT AX86U red light

Yes it was and it had problems which is why I requested another return shipping label. But the fact that it was replaced with a brand new unit shows Asus cares about their service. This is the fourth Asus router I've owned and I've yet to be disappointed. The AX68U is fast, gets great range and...

    Asus RT AX86U red light

I had no problem at all..from what I can tell, its all about the warranty status rather than ownership. The used router I bought had over a year left on the warranty. The first replacement they sent had issues, so when it was sent back they shipped a brand new one with a 2022 mfg date and its...

    Asus RT AX86U red light

I had this issue when I purchased a previously owned RT-AX68U manufactured in Dec 2021 on Ebay. Since it was still under warranty, I did a troubleshooting session with support who provided a shipping label to send it in for repair. After a couple of days, they ended up shipping me a new unit to...

RT-AX86U Pro .... better range and stability than RT-AC86U ?

I can confirm that the RT-AX68U has terrific range and stability and runs cool as a cucumber too! :)

Solved Rt-ax68s 2.4ghz band sucks. Better to disable?

Hmm..I wasn't aware of the "S" version..I've been extremely happy with my RT-AX68U having upgraded from the AC68P! Glad you found the culprit

Buying advice for AX-router with Merlin-support

While I'm not as knowledgeable as most of the folks here, I upgraded from the RT-AC68P to the RT-AX68U and have been extremely happy though I run ASWRT firmware rather than Merlin. Extremely stable, good coverage, great speed, runs cool as a cucumber too. The best part was I scored it on Ebay...

Where is Firmware Image v3.0.0.4.388.22525 for RT-AX68U?

P.S. I find it very odd that @Tech9 lambasts this model when I see few if any posts about problems with it..Ya can't say that about the other models :) Regardless, I find that its well designed, FAR cooler to the touch that past Asus routers and consistently stable. As the saying goes, 'each to...

Where is Firmware Image v3.0.0.4.388.22525 for RT-AX68U?

PS...since I've never used it, if I decide to install it, will it delete all the settings I've changed?

Where is Firmware Image v3.0.0.4.388.22525 for RT-AX68U?

Don't really have the need for its features but I appreciate you mentioning it regardless..I was just curious why Asus hasn't released a more current ASWRT version though the current one has been extremely stable :)

Where is Firmware Image v3.0.0.4.388.22525 for RT-AX68U?

It's been by FAR the best Asus router I've owned..better range and signal strength than the AC68P, cool to the touch and problem free..sorry to disappoint you, LOL

Where is Firmware Image v3.0.0.4.388.22525 for RT-AX68U?

Interesting..having replaced my AC68P with the AX68U, I find it unusual that Asus hasn't released a firmware update since 11/28/22..even the AC68P continues to get them..That said, its extremely stable as it is

Where is Firmware Image v3.0.0.4.388.22525 for RT-AX68U?

Pardon my ignorance, but what is the GPL version? I own the RT-AX68U running ASWRT v 388.21732 and love it

    ASUS AX68U 5GHz Band Dropping / Disappearing

Since I own one of these and use ASWRT, can I assume these issues are occurring only with those that use Merlin?

    ASUS AX68U 5GHz Band Dropping / Disappearing

Now that I've had it for nearly a week, I'm amazed at how cool it runs as compared to all the AC routers I had..Asus really upped their game with these AX routers and I'm very happy too :)

    ASUS AX68U 5GHz Band Dropping / Disappearing

Thanks so much for the explanation. I was going to upgrade my Internet speed but I'm finding pages are loading quicker with the AX router :)

    ASUS AX68U 5GHz Band Dropping / Disappearing

Speaking of signatures, what does the wired backhaul thing mean? Also wondering if I can attribute pages loading faster etc to the processor with the AX68U. I decided to implement AIProtection with this router as well which was something I hadn't done with my AC routers :)
