GT-AC5300 and Comcast Gigabit Internet
FWIW: Believe you should at least be able to reach @700Mbps down with that router as Tim measured for max throughput last year...I don't think you will be able to achieve the full 1Gbps download throughput using this router though...- somms

Not sure why you feel a speed test will be not be adequately representing your real-world throughput? redirect-gateway def1 (all traffic is forced thru the OpenVPN tunnel) throughput between remote OpenVPN client connected to OpenVPN Gateway Server router TAP / UDP via port 1194 pictured... -

Agreed with that much throughput actually renders QoS rather redundant. FWIW: The somewhat-now ancient R7000 flashed w/Shibby's Tomato has no issue reaching my FTTH 1Gbps up/down avail throughput...- somms

"Best" open source firmware for Netgear X10
Has anyone been able to confirm the X10 running DD-WRT gets anywhere close to being able to reach 1Gbps WAN throughput? One of the reasons I've stuck with Shibby's tomato on my gateway R7000 is that it supports CTF to be able to reach close to 1Gbps which I don't think the X1o may be able to...- somms
