Chromecast might be causing connectivity issues

Does anyone have ideas for scripts that can be run on the router regularly to identify this (or other similar issues)? I wonder if monitoring all important process PID values would be helpful to know if something is crashing.

    [Release 380] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.69 is now available

@RMerlin I hope you had some responsible disclosure by the reporter for this new cve (cve-2018-5721) I'm seeing. surprised you are just updating the (github) code for 380 right now. were they responsible? I couldn't find any report here on the forums.

    Potential Problem - Homeplugs

I use this one with minimal issues. Which could be power related, not network related. I do have a netgear switch that separates them. Only one plugs into the router. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00UVN4318/?tag=snbforums-20

[Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.64_2 is now available

Sorry to find a bug, but the MAC for my Google Pixel is being detected as an Apple device (Apple iPhone), which gave me a scare. Not to mention the disgust at being associated with that company. :) MAC first portion (vendor). Please add this into whatever db you use for MAC...

CPU (core) maxed and seeing wifi disconnects

Just as a follow-up I have in fact continued to have wifi drop on my phone, but it could be unrelated. The tablet also indicated a network drop today, but I was busy. I did check a short bit ago and there was no cpu issue on the router. Could be different issues, but I'll continue to monitor.

CPU (core) maxed and seeing wifi disconnects

In the past few months I've been dealing with an odd wifi disconnect issue. I am now suspecting an issue with my AC68U router running Merlin 378.56_2. I tend to be on 5ghz, but also have 2.4 setup. I just experienced the drop from my phone - where I always notice it, but I also had my tablet...

    Asuswrt-Merlin 378.56 is available

Harumph to Asus. I'm not a fan of these types of decisions. It is quite annoying to have to enter a port. And if they are moving that to an high port due to root requirements, I can somewhat understand, but really? Is something else using port 443 by default? If so, that logic is bogus...

    Asuswrt-Merlin 378.56 is available

No, I changed that to port 443, and just verified that AiCloud is still on a different high port number. And disabled. Any other ideas? UPDATE - Just confirmed it worked in 55. The code on that page at line 397 appears to be incorrect - unless this is an expected change. if (HTTPS_support...

    Asuswrt-Merlin 378.56 is available

Not sure this is a bug or what. I admit I've not searched the forum yet. I just upgraded from 55 to 56 on my rt-ac68u and on the Admin page, if you just click apply I get this error: "Please enter a value between 1024 to 65535" and the HTTPS Lan port value is highlighted. Not sure why the...

    Traffic Analyzer requirements?

lol, posted at the same time. Yeah, I guess the JFFS format was required, with the reboot. Which surprises me, since it was setup fresh. Maybe in the future ASUS or merlin can make it work if JFFS is enabled anyway by default.

    Traffic Analyzer requirements?

Can't seem to find much info about what you need to have setup for this new feature to work. I have JFFS enabled, and I just formatted the disk with a reboot. (but it was set by default when I reset the router) I still have no data showing in here. Does this feature require any other...

bittorrent port port hits without UPnP enabled

bittorrent port hits without UPnP enabled So I do not understand the nature of bittorrent and how it interacts with the internet. I have seen concerning connections related to an unused bittorrent client (which may always be running). I am unsure if my NAS and its data was exposed. I will be...

Port Forwarding for Security Automation Module

I'm not sure if you've setup everything correctly. I just want to make sure. Here is an example that should work. At least on networks that are not blocking random ports .(which any terrible ISP could do) HTTPS operates on port 443 TCP. Service Name Port Range Local IP...
