    IPv6 security

I can confirm this firewall works. Well done sir!

ASUS just posted new FW: 3.0.0.4.374.257

Yes it is, I think he just meant that it is not available right now and you never know what they will decide. It takes a few days for them to release it, but they always have.

    IPv6 security

I have a HE tunnel and I'd need to set it up again. Will this firewall protect that (6to4?) tunnel? Just not sure how the tunnels and firewall interplay.... A lack of firewall is the one reason I've disabled and avoided ipv6 in the past few years.

    possible security holes with RT-N66U

I'm glad they are addressing it quickly after YOU contacted them. But... my sincere response: ............................................________........................ ....................................,.-‘”...................``~...

    IMPORTANT: new RT-N66U revision

Can you code it to check for what is present and make a choice or not proceed? Thanks!

No, SNB is not an "Attack Page"

Thanks for communicating this. Transparency is the key to a better web. I just want to say that it may be an opportunity to switch ad partners. This type of abuse needs to be dealt with in real dollars, not meaningless complaints. Until ad agencies do a better job, this is exactly what you...

    possible security holes with RT-N66U

So, you were the source of this release? Or simply that you ALSO have vulns reported to ASUS? Merlin - any idea if all similar devices would be vuln based on firmware level?

    possible security holes with RT-N66U

While I am in security, this is one of my weak areas. I'll defer to folks who have a clue. :) The web attacks are concerning, but I was unable to confirm the issue since I have no device outside my fw right now I can use. So I simply disabled AiCloud. Other then that, I would want to...

    possible security holes with RT-N66U

Figured folks would be interested, and hopefully Merlin can work his magic (but its not likely I know). http://packetstormsecurity.com/files/122141/asus-traversal.txt Recommendations from there: "Mitigation and temporary fixes: - Users need to be alerted to turn off AiCloud service...

    Asuswrt-Merlin 3.0.0.4.270.24 is out

Thanks for checking. OpenVPN needs logging if you ask me. I think that package came from elsewhere? Is that code 2+ yrs old like I see when I google this ("written by Keith Moyer for Tomato"). Any hope of new features around it? I did just find the connection initialization and success. I...

    Asuswrt-Merlin 3.0.0.4.270.24 is out

This is a terrible idea, unless you are extermely confident regarding your computers host firewall configuration filters out all traffic like SMB, UPnP, etc. If you didn't understand that sentence, you should probably undo the setting. Note to others: This is a bad idea for a fix.

    Asuswrt-Merlin 3.0.0.4.270.24 is out

I'm thinking more about things that syslog captures than syslog itself. It seems it would be nice to capture the access log for the built-in web services (including uri) as well as general outbound fw access. The later may just be a simple rule tweak, but I'm hoping to avoid custom scripts...

    Asuswrt-Merlin 3.0.0.4.270.24 is out

Has there been any syslog improvements/fixes in the recent ASUS or merlin builds?
