    PCE-AC68 Windows 10 Drivers

I'd waited to update my PC because of the experiences posted here and updated our other two PC's first. I had planned to wait until ASUS provided an updated driver, but curiosity got the best of me and I decided to throw caution to the wind and I updated my PC today, actually just a little while...

Asus RT-AC68U - Merlin Build - 378.53_0 - Static IP does not show more than 6 assigned static ip.

My RT-AC68U is on 53_0 and I reserved 18 static IP's; all of which are visible and assigned properly as devices connect.

Updated to 3.0.0.4.376.3626 & now admin screen is whack?

The same thing happened to me right after I performed the update. I never changed browsers and it went away on its own after I accessed the Control Panel a few times. This only happed on the first day of the update and hasn't happened again; I'm on day 5. I was glad to see that ASUS added a...

    Asuswrt-Merlin 376.48 is out

I believe you can stop these from showing up in the log by going to LAN, DHCP Server, and setting Log DHCP queries to "No".

Thanks Merlin, I appreciate your taking the time to explain this!

    Asuswrt-Merlin 376.45 is out

Thanks Merlin; since I've never seen that log entry before, given the name, it sounded kind of ominous! If you don't mind me asking, in general, what is it about?

    Asuswrt-Merlin 376.45 is out

I've been running this firmware for a little over a day without any issues. However, I just saw this in the System Log from this afternoon. Anyone know what this is? I looked it up on the internet and it sounds like capturing packets for analysis, but I've never seen this in my System Log...

Great, thanks Merlin, I'll give it a try!!!!!!

    Asuswrt-Merlin 376.44 is out

You're welcome, glad that helped! I'm not sure why you can't achieve 1300, but there is one other thing to be aware of; at least I've discovered this on my system. This may or may not be an issue for you. If you access the "WDS" tab in the wireless group of settings; within 30 seconds 5GHz...

    Asuswrt-Merlin 376.44 is out

There is an issue with the Asus code in both Asus 376_1663 and Merlin's 376_44. If you've set the 5GHz Wireless Mode to N&AC, the best you can achieve is 40MHz/450Mbps. Keeping it on Auto will give you 80MHz/up to 1300Mbps.

    RT-AC68U paired with PCE-AC68

I have the same combination and it works fine. However, If your router has been updated to ASUS 376_1663 Firmware or Merlin's 376_44 Firmware, then you have to make sure that 5GHz Wireless Mode is set to Auto, not N&AC, otherwise it will limit the connection and you won't connect at 80MHz and it...

    Asuswrt-Merlin 376.44 Beta 1 is out

Yes, I discovered this in the Asus 1665 & 1663 Firmware and posted about it in the Asus 1665 Firmware release thread. If you select "N + AC" it will only use 40MHz and up to 450Mbps. So, this issue is an Asus carryover into Merlin's Firmware. Edit to add: RT-AC68U

    NEW RT-AC68R FIRMWARE OUT 376.1665

I loaded 1665 yesterday and discovered the 5GHz bug. Setting the 5GHz Wireless Mode to "N + AC" caused the 5GHz band to work in 40MHz/450N only. Setting the Wireless Mode to "Auto" instead of "N + AC" fixed the issue and allowed 80MHz/AC877 to AC1300 connections. I downloaded and flashed 1663...

    NEW RT-AC68R FIRMWARE OUT 376.1665

I've never noticed it before, but I found CPU and RAM usage on the Network Map page, under System Status, under the Status tab.

    NEW RT-AC68R FIRMWARE OUT 376.1665

I found a problem in the same area. On all previous firmware versions I've changed "Wireless Mode" from "Auto" to "N + AC" and left the "Channel Bandwidth" at "20/40/80". My PCE-AC68 has always connected at 80MHz and AC877Mbps to 1300Mpbs. However, with this firmware my PCE-AC68 only showed...

ac66u signal strength and speed weaken over time

Merlin, I found your tutorial on how to use ssh, downloaded Xshell4, installed it, and ran the commands you provided. It did indeed set the Site Survey to passive, so when I entered the Site Survey page a passive scan was executed. Unfortunately, with the same results; within 30 seconds I...

ac66u signal strength and speed weaken over time

Merlin, I've never performed the ssh procedures, but I'll read back through some of the threads that discuss it and give it a try; thanks!

ac66u signal strength and speed weaken over time

Unfortunately, after a reboot, even if passive scan has been established, it reverts to active.

ac66u signal strength and speed weaken over time

Merlin, I flashed your .42 firmware last night and performed the test you requested. Unfortunately, it appears there’s no way for me to test to see if a passive Site Survey scan causes the same 10dBm reduction in 5GHz signal strength (-49dBm to -59dBm) as an active scan. The reasons are: When...
