    Interesting data point. I'm also having no issues with either my AX88Us, which are both used a AI Mesh nodes. it seems the issues are centralized around folks using one as the router for an AI Mesh setup.

    My weekly bootup wasn't frequent enough to resolve the problem. I sometimes had lockups happening 1 to 2 days between powercycles. On the AX88U front, no issues after 24h of installing this update. Both of my AX88U nodes have been working as usual without AI mesh (wired backhaul) or WiFi dropouts.

    Asus AX89X still worth?

    I've had the 89X for about a year now. I would buy another one given what is out there right now. My observation has been the age of the device has allowed for firmware kinks to to be worked out. For me, the current version works as I need it without any noticeable bugs.

    I haven't noticed a wifi speed difference. But, I have noticed more wireless devices hanging on to the 89X rather than handing off to one of the AI-Mesh nodes. The Roomba is the easiest example.
