    Well... an update for those interested. I am currently testing the Mac program CronoSync for syncing my files to the HDD attached to the router. I will report back with status on the 1TB+ sync i initiated last night, when i get home.

    That's to bad :/ I would like to have used BitTorrent Sync... I am beginning to think that the only way to accomplish the sync (from MacBook to router HDD), is to use some sort of syncing software from my MacBook... or simply copy the files manually to the router HDD.

    Yes... i have an AC3200. I think i saw a post here that explained that one of the reasons for high CPU usage when downloading torrents on the router, is related to USB disk-writing activities. That would explain low CPU usage when seeding. But don't quote me on that one :)

    USB HDD setup

    I guess i will be making the setup with the HDD (NTFS) + Stick (Ext4) then. I prefer sticking to NTFS, because a can then share my files with my friends without installing additional software on their computers.

    Does this work with DNSCrypt installed? i tried AB-Solution together with DNSCrypt on an earlier version - it worked fine together untill i rebooted the router - then no internet access (DNS). is it safe to install? should i take any precautions?

    Need help with QoS and iCloud backup

    If you don't need max upload speed on your i-devices, you can set the QoS to bandwidth limiter and restrict the upload speed for those devises. Not an ideal solution, but it would properly solve your problem, and allow full upload speed on all other devises.

    Have your tried the "auto" setting in adaptive QoS? That works pretty good for me... (20/10 connection). But maybe i'm just lucky and should set upload manually.
